What/where are these things. I'm missing something.
They are in the air intake tubes. Search carbon trap removal 2024 Mustang GT. You should see a few videos showing where they are and how to remove them from the intake tubes.

Eh, I personally did real world testing at the track, zero gains… nothing.

if there were even a mere 10HP anywhere in the removal I would’ve picked up MPH.
They are just not a restriction as designed with the car moving.

I created that thread… believe me I was on top of this
That initial post was about Kelly Aiken claiming gains on his manual car, not sure how or if he manipulated data.

my independent tests didn’t verify.

Waste of time cutting up your car for no real benefit. Don't fall for the YouTube huckster BS.

The filter is housed inside the intake tube/s of an engine. I'm attaching a photo of one from an S550 as a reference.

The purpose of the filter is to trap unspent fuel vapors from escaping the engine and intake when shut off; the paper element absorbs them. Most modern vehicles have these filters.

As the comments highlight, some feel removing the filters will result in modest HP gains (up to 10 HP), while others believe removing the filters does nothing.

YMMV.
