Just a friendly warning:
zig is a fundamentist denier that electronic sound enhancement exists and tries to hijack most threads on this subject.
So he might just try to gaslight you into a direction where there must be some different thing or parameter to change and that it CANNOT be that the ESE exists and be the reason for the effects on the sub you describe

Just disable it in Forscan and enjoy your sub

There's only one person with this specific hole.
Why not creating and using an individual thread (bathroom) to drain that subjective opinion there?

ESE is real and the Earth is not a disc.

Do you know what the eq setting is?

Strange it should come back. One thing I worry about is an update to the car and its turned back on. If that is a possibility.
My concern now with subs getting installed is the thumping sound when ACC is turned on or car door is open. I'm not sure if that would affect the subs, frequency wise, or if its isolated to the front speakers only.
It does affect the thump from the subs, it irritated the crap out of me I thought I’d done something wrong during install. But after deleting ESE it is now minimal. The problem I’m having now is my phone audio sounds terrible, very muffled, all other audio sounds fine.

Maybe check if there are any sound settings in your phone that are specific to the Bluetooth connection like a custom equalizer or spatial effects. I can specify different equalizer settings for each Bluetooth connection I use. In other words, my earbuds are different than my car. I never used to be able to do that a couple cars/phones ago. Drove me nuts when I used my earbuds last and then got in the car.

I have 300 miles on my 2026. I thought the ESE would be super obvious, but I’m starting to feel like Cipher (from the Matrix, ā€œI know this steak isn’t realā€¦ā€). I bought my OBD tool, but haven’t yet to peel back for the scan tool.
