No, pre selector boxes are old tech in which you select a gear in advance with a normal H pattern shifter, then effect the change with the clutch. Our buses in the 50's and 60's had them.Prndl

Why does that sound like a manual? No, pre selector boxes are old tech in which you select a gear in advance with a normal H pattern shifter, then effect the change with the clutch. Our buses in the 50's and 60's had them.
A great way to freak the driver tester out on a licence test too.
Actually, I got that wrong. They used a selector quadrant near the steering wheel. Select a gear, then depress the clutch to change gear. Why does that sound like a manual?
Ah, so pick a button any button which selects a gear that becomes the active one upon modulation of the clutch. Well yeah if the automated intuition was integrated it might work but then again prindle fixed some of the annoying inherent traits. Me, myself, and i prefer the manual method but since this is an automatic skipshift thread, yes it seems possible however the criteria for majority of operation will need to be considered.Actually, I got that wrong.
