That's the exact noise i hear in mine as well and I have the car for 2 days now...
This is the link in another post where i uploaded the video

My car souds exactly the same and I just picked it up on Wednesday. I heard it immediately during the test drive but I guess it is what it is. I knew that there was a good chance my car would have the sound as many of them do it seems. I guess I'm just lucky like that :(

I will stop by the dealer today and ask him to check it out. but probably if it is common then that’s it. Need to accept that fact and need to rev higher lol

Please let me know what the dealer says. When I was researching the issue I came across a few posts that mentioned new cars being low on transmission fluid (like 1-2 quarts low from the factory which is nuts). IIRC the posts I saw were on the previous generation S550 cars but I think they were maybe 2022 or 2023 cars. Someone mentioned if low the whine either quieted or went away completely once the fluid level was filled correctly.

I'm not sure if they changed to location of how you check the transmission fluid on the 24 GT's but they did say it's very difficult to check due to it's location and most people get burned checking it as it's somewhere by part of the exhaust? Maybe it's different on the 24's though? Might be worth mentioning to your dealer about having them check the transmission fluid level.

Again please let me know what you find out.

Yeah I have whining as well and is very annoying and noticeable in tight streets, drive thru's and garage. I had the dealer top of the transmission fluid it was little low but still the same. dealer also told me it was normal for the performance package to do it? I dont believe him because I test drove another 2024 GT PP 10 speed and it did not make the noise. I also drove a manual and it did not have it either. I read somewhere that its the transmission pump gears are not meshed together properly which is rare but happens during production of them.

Just an update. I just had the opposite experience to VaporBlue.S650 above.

Having been back to Ford numerous times, driven other auto '24s and heard the noise they make, the dealer basically said they couldn't identify the noise as anything to be concerned about.

Before I took the car away I asked the tech if he could just check the trans fluid to be sure, and he found it within range but towards the low limit. He did a good job - had to get the fluid to exactly the right temperature before testing it - it took a while.

Anyway he topped it up and I drove it out and noticed the noise had gone immediately. Yes there is still a whirring noise from the transmission but it's now in line with the other auto's they had me drive. There's always going to be some noise, but the excessive howling noise on downshifts has gone!

May not be everyone's problem... but it was mine for sure.

Wow that's good to hear. Hopefully it stays quite(r) for you from now on. Please keep us informed. My (4) month old GT has whined from day (1) but I've been too busy (errr lazy) to take it into the dealer to have the issued looked into. I am do for an oil change coming up so maybe I can have the dealer check the transmission fluid level while they're at it. I have heard the transmission fluid is in a tough spot to check on these cars for some reason so not sure I want to attempt it myself:)
