How did Steeda put 4.09 gears in a S650 that has no access to tuning?

A set of 4.09s is going to be one of the first mods I am going to do.

FYI I went from 3.15 to 3.55 and I also changed tire size. I used a Ford ProCal 4 to change both the gear ratio and tire size so my speedometer and shift points (I have an automatic) are accurate.

Did you do it?

My car kept getting delayed back in 2024 so I bought a 2024 BMW M2 G87. However, Ford is selling the ProCal tool without tuning on it so you can adjust gearing upto 4.09 gearing.

On another note, Ford doesn't sell the 4.09 gears anymore. You can get them from other vendors such as Richmond Gears.

It went faster - The computer simply figured it out. We now run a 3.73.
