I've been looking at YouTube videos of these cars and two caught my attention. The first was a base GT automatic with active exhaust. Meh. It just looked a bit dull. That was my first idea with this car and I would likely have been disappointed.

My wife happen to walk in the room when I was looking at a DH with those puddle lights projecting the bat signal on the ground. She said 'get that one !!!'

I believe the GT Premium projects a mustang image. In any case something I would have written off just became important! BTW - I never buy a car she doesn't like because I am not stupid

I retired in 2007, and I was shopping for my bass boat! I called my wife into the library and said, ”Look at this!” The first words she said were, ”It only has 3 seats?” We ended up with a boat that legally holds 10! I'm not stupid either. At least it had bow and aft fishing platforms! To be honest, that was the first time I even thought I needed more than oneseat! Glenn

Im all for getting the car that speaks to you. But do some research and understand the differences. Right now it sounds like you are falling in love with pictures and bling. I dont want to see you become another DH owner who keeps it as a garage queen and ends up regreting the price tag and selling after two years.

Based on all your comments you sound more impressed by features and amenities. For that reason I think you be plenty happy with a GT premium.

Actually, I'm not sold on the DH and the ones I've found are sitting for a reason.

Today I found a 2025 black on black GT Premium 400A 6 speed with the PP and active ehaust with 900 miles on it locally in a place I didn't expect at around the $50K mark. I can live without puddle lights and so can Mrs.Pigfarmer, she just got wow'd by that. I'd use the savings to swap the existing summer tires to new rims and use what it has for necessary winter tires. I live in SE New York and below 45 degrees is a lot of drive time.

Anybody can spend money and usually does, the reason I can lay out cash for something like this is that I've been pretty clever with my $$. Not going to just fork over an extra pile to a dealer to chasing my tail, I just want to make sure I do this once and not be disappointed.

There's tons of Ecoboosts sitting around I don't want, although the twin turbo 2.7L in my 2015 F150 is an animal, I love that trouble free truck. It's a base XL and has plenty of features for me, in fact (really) there are buttons in there that I have no idea what they do and don't care I had quite a few base model service trucks and never cared about amenities.

The DHs seem to be sitting and are attractive but I think I'd feel better in a GT Premium. All depends on what I'm looking at and the price difference after some negotiation.

Gotcha.

When looking at GTs, keep in mind there is a difference between 400A and 401A. 401A gets you all the interior amenities including features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping, full leather trim, puddle lights, large one-peice screen (not included on '26 400A) and added security features.

IMO 401A is the only way to go. Im also a huge interior and bells and whistles snob.
