2024 gt convertible 401a. Yes the car has lane keeping assist. My wife's 2022 escape also it and she loves it.. For myself on the mustang I have turned it off. I am not comfortable with the car pushing the steering wheel when my hands are still on the steering wheel. Personal preference. I do enable the steering wheel vibrate if I drift out of my lane.

Under the driver assistance setting go to cruise control and then under adaptive cruise control there should be an option for lane centering
There is no option for lane centering, just lane assist. Ford co-pilot 360 doesn't offer lane centering.

Lane assist will move the vehicle back on the center and will start shaking and then beeping (not sure about the beeping as I never use it). But it will only start working when you are over the lane.

Having a full autonomous driving car is not perfect yet as there are too many variable to take in consideration.

So personally I believe that lane assist is, for now, enough to do the job and still force you to have your hands on the wheel.

Oh we learned this the hard way lol. You can enable lane centering in the adaptive cruise control menu. I too didnt think we had it like the BC cars do but we do. Only if you have adaptive cruise control though I believe. But its not in the lane keep assist menu, its in the adaptive cruise menu.

There is no "Super Drive" ( GM product) or self driving mode in the Mustang

I am told there is some version in one of the higher end Lincoln SUV's and it is supposed to be great, I don't know if Ford developed their own or partnered with someone on it.

Although the adaptive cruise uses a radar unit to determine the distance of the vehicle in front of you, and will maintain that distance based on one of the 3 distance choices available, the lane centering and departure are wholly dependent on the camera mounted to the rear view mirror AND the local or state highway department having nice bright lines on both sides of the lane, having proper markings at exit ramps so the car does not try to follow the fog line off the highway, etc etc etc.

There are a LOT of places I go in MA and NH where the system is useless as the markings don't exist or covered in sand from winter sanding/salting operations, etc etc etc

The lane centering and lane departure are not running off a GPS or other database, it is using the camera to follow lines in the road, just as the speed limit signs that appear on the dash do, they are triggered by the camera too, and it may say 70 MPH on the posted white sign with black lettering but the construction zone speed limit signs that say 25 MPH on a sign board are not recognized by the camera so it is up to you to pay attention to what is going on while you are driving.

Ford's version is Bluecruise. From what I hear, GM's Supercruise is better. The F150, Lightning, Mach E, newer Explorers, certain trims of the Expo and certain Lincoln products have it available as an option.

On vehicles with full lane centering, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise, people put a weight on the steering wheel to simulate having your hands on the wheel to get it to work on non-BC equipped vehicles.
🤣

People usually buy a mustang because they want to drive a mustang.
Nobody wants to drive a hyundai, which is why they've kindly tried to help even the driver avoid it.
To each their own.
