I just bought in April. For me it was the discounts that finally got the car to what I thought it was worth. Always thought the S650s looked great.

I was one of them! Picked up mine on the 62nd mustang anniversary. I was able to haggle 17% off MSRP on a '25 dh premium hp with recaros. There was no way I could walk away.

This is really great to see. I have a 24 GT but no financial incentive to hope Ford sells more Mustangs. I just want the platform to continue for a long time.

I find this a bit ironic. If you had purchased a 2024 S650, the standard factory offering would have had more content than the current 2026 offering. As an example, the built in smart phone charger is no longer available in the Premium, to say nothing about the price increases model over model.

@Alan Applegate ..... had a 2024 GT now a 2026 GT. Yes, I lost the cell mphone charger pad but on many vehicles they vare trouble and some insurance companies track the model numbers for fire hazard (mine does), so no loss there to me. I DO miss the lighted Mustang sill plate logo as it was cool at night. There are interior improvements regarding softer surface areas. The MRSP for both my 2024 and 2026 were very close and I got great deals on both of them so price difference was nothing to me - people who walk in and pay full or inflated MSRP have, in my opinion, only themselves to blame.

I agree in regards to the irony, it’s strange…no different that then world we live in I guess lol.

Less options, higher price tags across the board, yet sales jump - you’d think the opposite would happen…

Never will i buy a first year or even second year redesign to new generation car. I prefer to wait and see how stable the model performs and especially its maintenance, now with so much computer software you got to be concerned about software......I can wait and did, and so far car has NO ISSUES, even the paint has little to no peel, very impressed with Ford.

@OldCoastie ..... bought a 2024 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. Full disclosure I traded it in on a 2026 to get a couple of extra options but I did not have one problem with that car in two years. Its fit and finish was as good or better than anything in its price range. So no complaints from me. Recent vehicles that are part of a CAD process are far, far less prone to "first year model blues" that a decade or so ago.

I'm with you on first model years... I always steer clear... however, I figured it was still close enough to an S550 and took a shot... 2 1/2 years and all's well!
