I just got this message a while ago on the phone from the FordPass app which, imo, is giving me a false warning.

I check the LoJack system in the car and it clearly states 12.7 Volts which is perfectly normal, so I'm assuming the FordPass app is messed up, BMS, or SoC on car is bugged.

When parking the car the Voltmeter tied to amp shows 14.7-15.2 before turning it off. When starting it(haven't started since message since I'm not driving tonight) system charges right up to 15.2 Volts.

Don't think I want to do that BMS reset: Acc On, Highbeams 5 times and Brake 3 times.

Started right up this morning, immediately goes to 14.9V from alternator.
FordPass app working fine.
LoJack says 12.8V after drive.

Last night did force stop on app, but was no updates for it. Cleared cache and data.

Assuming just a software issue with the car or app.

I'm not sure what the BMS 'threshold' is for issuing the remote features disabled message but a few observations.
My wife's Lincoln would do this recursively for months. Sometimes sitting less than a day. Dealer checked and battery was good. I think they did a module update on one service and now it's not happening. Still on the same battery, starts and runs fine.

I have induced this on my '24 trying to burp the blower coolant; key on, prime the pump, key off gently reduce pressure, top off, etc. repeat as needed. After about 30 minutes of this routine I got the alert on the phone.

I think there's a combination of some spurious alerts, and some vehicles with marginal voltage. I'd have the battery load tested.

I used to get this Message quite a bit in the first year of ownership (I’m in my second year of ownership) and since then, I have rarely seen this “Deep Sleep” mode notification from the Ford Pass app. After a few Car updates, it seems to no longer be a thing. Even after sitting for days, I still don’t get the notification. Guess that’s a good thing?? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Returns on my car if not started for two weeks — which only happens during winter hibernation.

I got it last night at the same time. After a 200 mile drive an hour before. I think it is an app glitch.

How long was the car sitting between starts? It will automatically go into sleep mode and do this if it sits for 2 weeks without activity regardless of battery charge.

Happens if you let the battery sit for a while i get this on my 24 GT when i don't drive it for a while. Its the BMS it does not let the better charge past 75%. There is a small box with a round plug near the negative terminal. Pop it off next drive it will fully top the battery it will give you a battery warning light then just plug it back in when done or get a battery tender. I disable this when updating tunes as it like to try to shut it off while tuning.

Having a 5amp Noco on proper charging connections the car will go into sleep mode after 14 days. After starting the car it will show 14v charge rate then lower to 13.5v after a short drive then 12.7v. If anyone wants to save yourself a headache use a maintainer it will be topped off even though it will not keep the car from deep sleep.
Having a battery topper will sometimes extend the life of it past the warranty. Here in the AZ heat one is on borrowed time after the warranty has expired.

SoC of the battery is not the same as voltage. The BMS switches all functions off if you get below 50% soc. Perfectly normal.

Checking after you have just shut down the car is little use. It will always show 12.7 ish volts at that point. It is what it is showing after a few days that matters and what the BMS will use as information to determine whether to shut down the comms to save power.

The battery lives between 50% and 80% SOC normally. Below 50% then the BMS will go to low power mode, 'fully charged target SOC' is 80% ish. You can change the target SOC in Forscan but you need to be careful as it is possible to overcharge if you set it too high. Smart alternators vary output depending on demand and also driving conditions.

A trickle charger is the best option to get it fully charged and then see what happens. Resetting the BMS will do no harm.

The car will charge at up to 15v if required, and down to 13.5v when the battery reaches 80% SOC. It is easy to see this in the driver display on the car when driving. You can watch it drop away on a long journey if you have nothing better to do!

Well… this post didn’t age well.

Didn’t drive at all yesterday.

Woke up this morning to clean my wheels and wash my car. Dead as a can be. Picked up a new battery, installed, checked for DTC. No engine light or codes.
