It's almost the last manual car standing in its price and performance range. Here is a list of every new sports car or coupe that has a manual transmission, at least 250 horsepower, and a base price of less than $70,000.

Nissan Z
Ford Mustang GT
Ford Mustang Dark Horse

That's it. The Toyota Supra has been cancelled.

I was going to say you forgot the M2...but I see someone else brought it up.

The manual vs. auto debate will not end here or on any other vehicle forum! Rather it will end ingloriously when the market demand so dictates—Jim Farley's statement about his (sic) dead hands; pundits who speak volumes about never owning an auto; and a myriad of other salacious statements notwithstanding! Alas, it will be Marketing 101 dogma which will instill the end, which is sooner rather than later whether we like it or not!

M6 gets spanked by the A10 in a race. It's not even close. And when you start adding power it gets even worse.

Nobody that enjoys the engagement of a manual v8 gives a shit about the confused 10-speed being faster in a straight line.
My Mach 1 10-speed was very fast but boring, now I have a huge smile when I row through the gears.
I don’t drag race every stop light.
I will never own another automatic sports car

Boring to me would be shifting gears in a car and having to wait 40 and then 50mph to shift again (that's how long 3rd and 4th are in a MT-82D4 3.55 car)

Good.

Its why I bought one.
Same here. My last car was EcoBoost with manual. After it got hit and repaired I traded it in on the only remaining option, GT with a manual.

Well I have a MT82 with 3:55 and maybe I'm an old man but this car is pretty far from boring especially in Sport Mode with the windows open and the sound of the Roush axle backs.

My 1974 Mustang II with 4 cylinder and 4 speed, was closer to what I'd call boring.

I'm thankful that I have this option for a daily.

So how about that Lucid Sapphire or Tesla Plaid? Maybe, just maybe, some people actually like a third pedal and don't care about being the fastest or quickest around. And maybe, some people like the old school visceral experience without having a subwoofer make exhaust sounds.

If I was worried about winning a race, I probably wouldn't have a Mustang to begin with. I (like I assume most other manual drivers) got it because it's FUN to drive.

Remember, in life, happiness is not automatic.

Rather be pushed back into my seat than wiggle a little stick around

The engine (or turning if that's what you're into) makes the car exciting but the shifting not so much

My Mustang is a stick. The vast majority of cars that's I have owned have been. I just don't get why it makes so many people's dicks hard vs clicking a button (which does a better job if you want to manually change a gear)

I suspect that 99% of the people on this forum already know that. It's also faster to fly several hundred miles than to drive it, yet some of us prefer the drive.

It’s not just the stick, it’s the control for the car that the clutch gives you.
I never felt in full control of my auto Mach 1, more like it drove me. Even with paddles
