1. I actually love it! Cannot wait to see it in person (I love my 24 Dark Horse)
2. I would not be surprised if the Track Pack/Full Carbon special edition is over $120k
3. It actually does have CCBs (some experts were very wrong about this)
4. They had to use the DCT because no way Ford can keep the 10R80 cool on a track even with 480 hp
5. If you want one expect to pay over MSRP
6. Does it have an actual oil temp sensor? Or are we just guessing on this motor too?
My GT350 has an actual oil temp sensor and gauge

will be over MSRP at first just like the Dark Horse was but my guess is eventually you will see deep discounts similar to the deep discounts you can get on the Dark Horse today …

without the boomers to get all excited about the Shelby name unfortunately I don’t think mark ups will hold long term

The front end looks like a lot of plastic. And I just noticed the air vents aren't even functional, which I initially thought were cool.
if the test mule is anything to go by, those corner vents are not actually blocked off, and likely function like they did on the GT500 (right is trans cooler, left is oil cooler), which makes me very interested to see the PCM and washer fluid reservoir mounting

Ford can keep the 10R80 cool, it's just a shame that it requires people to buy the GT Performance Package to do so. and also there is a 100% chance that Ford did not do an oil temp sensor for this, it's probably estimated. but from what i've heard, the estimations tend to be pretty accurate anyways. in the US at least, i don't know if there's even a single Ford left today that uses actual oil temp sensors

I think it's just a weird angle with lighting. The only one (I believe, anyway) to be blocked off is the passenger side nostril because since this is a 5.2 Predator, it will use a single throttle body.

I would imagine if you googled a pic of a 2020 GT500 under hood, it'll be pretty dang close to that. Might not be too far off from the GTD either, since they are so closely related...but take that with a grain of salt since the GTD's engine is pushed back as far as possible.

Oh, man, the flashbacks to the forum threads throughout the years...

"How much over MSRP is good/fine/justifiable/etc?!"

In this day and age, paying over MSRP (for ANYTHING) should instantly label you a boot-licker for life...

the engine placement will be very similar to the GTD, as Ford didn't make a new floor pan, and it's similar to the GT500 in terms of placement

GTD

re-uses everything from the strut tower brace, to the radiator support, wiper cowl panel, and all that. i wonder if the DH SC will get a unique little badge on the supercharger? they use the same one for the GTD and Raptor R, so probably not, but it'll be a nice customization point for sure

also i just realized that since it has the DCT, Ford is gonna give it a dial shifter too. they did it with the new Ford GT, GT500, and GTD, so they'll do it again

I could've sworn I read that they pushed it back. Colour me surprised...

Now THAT is something I'm waiting on seeing. Someone commented on that earlier and I was just rolling, remembering how well that went over with everyone, lol.

I really dig the design of the car. But man what's is Fords problem that they are uncapable of adding black paint to body parts? a likely 100k+ car with so present black design elements also all are just unpainted plastic is definitely a choice. For the S550 GT500 they were able to do that for the frontend ...

Agree with those of you who are not fond of the front end. Still gives me 2019 camaro or Honda vibes. If Shelby were in charge of the design I thobk they would have done a better job.

Looks are subjective of course, which is a very good thing. If we all agreed on which women were pretty and which ones weren't, the human population would come to a screeching halt.

On a side note, wasn't there a convertible variant of this spotted driving around as a mule? I guess we'll find out for sure today at 7PM ET during the event whether thst was the SC or something else. My opinion (as a mechanical engineer, for what it's worth) is that convertibles don't make the best track cars (especially not 4,000 lb, front-engine, RWD ones with back seats) so if sales are going to be low for the SC, sales are REALLY going to be low for the vert variant. And I say that as a person who is currently spending $2K on chassis upgrades for mine, but you won't see 99% of vert owners doing that.
