Just posting a thread for fun conversation. Took the 10R80 Dark Horse to the strip to get a baseline about two months ago, completely stock including rims and tires (12.7 first time, 12.3 second time). Got the Whipple and drag pack put on and took it back just to get a feel for her, everything else stock all the way from exhaust manifolds to the exhaust tips (no headers, etc.) , 93 Octane only both times. This time around ran a 10.7 and three 10.8's at 131 and 132 MPH consistently. Needless to say, have had a blast, first time in my life at a drag strip. I do believe there's at least .2 seconds left in her from driver (Me) inexperience.....lol. Going back next week just to see if I can squeeze that .2 out with no changes to the car, thinking 10.5 is possible.

It has been a blast playing with this car and I see an expensive future ahead as me and her make our way down to the high 9's. Hope everyone else is enjoying their Dark Horse as much as I have and here's to more in the future!! It's a fun club to be in......

Congrats!!! Those are good numbers especially with no experience. You did these on Pirelli tires? Slap some drag radials on there and you will shave even more time.

Iā€™ve run 10.5 in my Roush S550. Itā€™s a trip ainā€™t it?!?

Good point. Thatā€™s what I get for using my phone while at the office.

Hope I'm replying properly....I'm getting about 1.5 to 1.9 in the 60 ft, depending on my braking. I'm not dialed in enough to hold the brake and know where the RPM needs to be before it wants to break the tires loose or I start creeping forward toward red lighting....I still have some 'learning' to do, but I do love the challenge!!

Is this a stage 1 kit?
Mph is low low low.,
No sir, this is a stage 2 kit with the 112MM throttle body....not sure why only 131/132 MPH but maybe just me not getting going enough off the line. Even with Drag Pack still slipping a little sometimes.....Maybe I can improve that next week with some more practice....fingers crossed

upper 140's? that's asking a lot. 900 HP Hellcats barely trap that. I know, they are a lot heavier, but their suspensions work pretty good. How much HP do you think a Stage 2 Whipple with everything else stock will make?

Appreciate everyoneā€™s feedback. I hover a lot and try to read first before asking questions but I am a newbie at the end of the day around drag racing and the technical inā€™s and outā€™sā€¦.still have a ton to learn but Iā€™m having fun and yā€™allā€™s input helps. Hereā€™s a copy of the slip, donā€™t see DA on it and canā€™t remember temperature outside but it was bumping next to 90 degrees that day if I remember correctly. Iā€™ll try to get more exacts next week when I try again!

Don't know what DA was that day but do remember it being almost 90 degrees. Tires are Micky Thompson Street R Radials and zero other mods or weight reduction.
