I have a 2024 DH with automatic transmission and the handling package. I noticed first thing in the morning when I proceed from a dead stop and turn left or right when accelerating lightly to moderately it seems like the rear wheels shutter. Once it warms up, I don’t notice it. Should I be alarmed or Is this normal?

If you have a trac-loc diff, its just the clutch plates grabbing, Cold fluid and clutch packs and such.

If its a torsen, not totally sure.

It is cold tires on the cold pavement losing traction. They are slipping and grabbing. My Pirelli Trofeo RS tires would do that with almost any throttle opening at below 50° F when I first set out in the morning. They never did it on warm mornings.

The Michelin PS4S on there now require both more throttle opening and a lot lower temperature for any of that to occur, and even then it is a lot less of the slipping and grabbing "shutter." I have to actually induce it, whereas with the Pirelli it was just a part of getting the car rolling and moving.

I bet you can accelerate more gently, and it will not happen at all.

What tires and what temperature?

You might try slippery mode for the first few miles in the morning. The throttle map alone is more favorable to cold tires.

I'd say the diff and cold tyres too. I was out in the rain this morning and could make it do the grip/slip thing on any tight corner.

Cold tires, same as on my 24 GT w PP. Cold tires slips. My C8 has the same thing with cold tires.
The C8 has a display which indicates cold tires. Not actual degree temperature display, But indicates that the tires are Cold, cool, normal, warm, hot.

A little heat in the P-zeros goes a long long way. normal driving around in -10 degrees C, and those tires cannot hook for shit. Able to spin them in 3rd gear.

But after they spin up and get warmer, they hook pretty well. I've had no issues thus far driving them in the winter so long as its dry, but you certainly notice the difference when they warm up.

Hey Joemason7785, I'm here in Charlotte as well and for sure, the colder the weather, the more hop and less grip you will have. If you have not already done so, run (OK, drive really fast) to your favorite mod shop and install the full Steeda stop the hop kit. You will still get some chatter in colder weather, but the improvement is incredible. And implicitly, even if the air temp is cold, it improves as you get some heat in the tires. There are two places I work with in the area that I think do really good work specifically on Mustangs. I'm sure there are others, but I have good experience with these two. Let me know if you would like that information.

I just got my DH last week and agree its so bad with the hop lol
But got suspension being delivered today and a set of signature wheels should be done in 2-3 more weeks and i will have proper tires on . That should handle it for me. Till the Whipple arrives

Handling package and Trofeo RS tires or non-HP and P-Zeros?

P zeros. Dont worry i know they suck🤣 only the ps4 hold up decent from factory. I always throw on a dr in the rear anyway and make sure i have a ps4 or equivalent up front. Just agreeing its bad. My pp18 was fine. Gt500 fine . But they had ps4’s

I wasn't going to say that. I have never used PZeros, so I do not know. A couple of posters here say the new ones are much better than prior versions.

They do visually look like they would handle and stick better i do admit, having had both .But also still breaking in the car . Haven't really punched it yet for the comparison on heavy acceleration. But those first turns out of parking lots or leaving home when cold, suck . but ya live with it till upgrading lol
