Your car is parked for the winter? Did you consider that perhaps the system only works when the car is in gear and/or moving?.....my 2024 GT does not make any non-engine ambient noise. Friend brought over two meters he uses for commercial HVAC installations in sensitive installs - hospitals, computer sites etc. The instruments can read noise and vibration from well beyond both ends of the human hearing spectrum and ability to detect vibrations. My GT is parked for the winter but we ran it up to 2000 rpm and there was zero response. He said watch this - he ran his finger on the dash and the scope spiked. Of course there were engine and drivetrain noises that he accounted for but zero in any form of noise cancellation or augmentation. My 2 cents.
I had a Caddy CT5-V Blackwing, which has interior engine noises sent through the speakers. It was most evident when driving with the windows down, as the apparent engine/exhaust sounds were less noticeable. Driving the Mustang with the windows down, the exhaust noise is increased, the exact opposite (and what I'd expect to hear).
I'm not saying that there isn't any enhancement going on, I'm just suggesting that it's quite subtle. Then again, I was in quiet mode, so it could adjust for that. OK, the more I think about it, you know, never mind. LOL
