Zero! Had the dealer install it for $126 🤣

Dang man. You are all in for like $800 bucks for oil separators. 😬 it's like a 15 min DYI. 🤦‍♂️

I refuse to drop full retail on the Ford set. Especially when you only need the one side. I do like the OEM look. And I had it on my 2023. But that price tag is just stupid.

Agreed, i used ford points so out of pocket i wanna say I paid 450, and installed it myself in around 15 minutes. Honestly people might aswell install them themselves because if you have a strut bar, you will be removing the driver side catch can every time you want to check your dipstick anyway lol.

bro you spent $126 on a 15 minute install??? Lol
I sure did. I travel for work Monday through Friday on multiple flights and have zero time.

$126 on ANY kind for Ford warranted work is a win in my book.

My son is also the Ford Tech who did the work - great kid - drove it to work, did the RO, and changed my oil and filter for free ;-).

Like I said - not worried about $126.

You don't need a warranty for two hoses that snap in place. But like I said, its your money. 👍🏻

I'm old enough to remember when the first came out and dreamed of owning one since.

Now in retirement I finally have the money.

Going to order a GT convertible in Molten Magenta with Black interior.
Slightly off-topic, but... for all the Molten Magenta orders I've heard of, I've seen exactly four on the road. One was an Ecoboost, and one was mine.

...Not that I'm complaining. The color is rare, and at risk of sounding like a Corvette owner, I like that. I have one of the few 2025 Job 1s I've seen in this color with the silver headlights, I don't mind it being more unique. 😁

I used to travel pre-covid on an airplane and in hotels 45 plus weeks a year for 30 years, so I get the got no time for these things. Since Covid been working from home with more time for maintenance, but less ability.

Will your son keep an eye on how much it catches? That’s the only downside to these things. My son and I do almost all of our own maintenance. As I get older, it’s getting harder for me.

I went with the same kit. I like that it blends into the background and looks factory....................which is because its an OEM Ford part. The aftermarket type standout and look cheap.

As for the price, yeah, it's pricey. However, the kit includes two catch cans and the associated hoses with OEM fittings. A lot of the cheaper aftermarket type don't include two catch cans.

As I said, these blend in with the rest of the engine bay to give an OE look.

As for paying someone else to install it, if you are time poor and not confident doing this stuff, then I completely understand.

Just a 10mm wrench or socket nothing serious.
As I get older, it’s getting harder for me.
I realize that the OP had other reasons, but you young wippersnappers need to consider that not everyone has tools (not even a 10mm wrench!) or mechanical abilities/confidence or the desire to DIY. And, as many of you probably never think about, leaning over the fender and working on the engine bay can be tough on an old back.

I DIY because I want to, I enjoy it (most of the time), I am retired so I have the time to do it, I have the tools and a garage, and the experience to usually do it correctly. Even so, there are times when you just don't feel like crawling under a car and it's just a lot easier to write a check.

Went with the FP ones as well. Install was easy didn’t take me long. Used ford pass points for them and got them for the OEM look. Honestly though I probably could have done it and only install the passenger side. I did have J&L before and it would be topped off with oil quick and these FP ones can fit the whole J&L oil separator and then some it’s crazy. But anyways looking good in that engine bay!

My philosophy exactly! I've been retired since 2007 and did so to enjoy life. Crawling under a car at 78 is not my idea of enjoyment. Sex, on the other hand, is still worth the effort! Glenn
