It’s a good sign. This car really makes me want to drive more as well.

Sure my 06 GT was cool and fun, but it was lowered and that stiff buckboard ride got old. Still can’t believe I drove the same car for 17 years. That’s a record by a long shot for me.
That's amazing, my record was 12 years with an MX5. Mind you, the gearbox was the only original mechanical part left.

Don't get the car wet is the most stupid advice ever. How the hell can a car owner prevent the car from not getting wet?

This advice is only possible for people who buy cars and store them in a garage, not for people who bought this car to drive it.

This is a car ladies and gentleman, not a TV.

Cars drive outside on public roads. Cars get parked outside at the grocerie store, work parking place or other places where there are no garages. And there is also something called weather we can't control. And sometimes car owners also wash their car.

How in the hell can somebody say "don't get your car wet"

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just received my Recall letter from Ford two days ago.
I get my GT Mustang wash probably twice a week.
How does Water get into the BCM?
I always drive the GT outdoors..
I can't be the only one?
Somethings just don’t make any sense to me anymore.

The recall doesn't guarantee you have an existing problem. Just that is a possibility.... and they have a way to minimize that possibility.

Description
On your vehicle, it is possible for water to enter the bcm, leading to corrosion in the bcm.

Safety Risk
When water intrusion into the bcm causes loss of communication with exterior lighting components, signal lamps that are required to be activated with low beams front and rear side marker lamps, taillamps, and license plate lamps are not activated. In addition, water intrusion into the bcm could cause the side marker and taillamp functions to flicker and not be steady burning.

Remedy
Parts are not available. Ford Motor Company is working to provide parts for this repair. When the remedy becomes available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge. The remedy is anticipated to be available 1ST quarter of 2026.

Mine is a 2025MY Job-1 GT 400a

I ordered my 2025 Dark Horse with the handling package back in November 2024 and it took almost ten months for it to get delivered to the dealer. It finally arrived last week, but now, I can’t close the deal and take possession due to this recall. So, it is sitting at the dealer’s parking lot and apparently it will be sitting there for another six months. The dealer lets me come to visit it, touch it, caress it, sit in it, turn over the engine, rev it a little, but won’t let me drive it. It feels like having conjugal visits in a prison. This sux.

I hope Ford gives those of us in this position some sort of consideration

That’s really frustrating. Watch them come out with 0% for 72 months or something stupid only on the Mustang GT in September only for the marketing / advertising knowing they won’t have to honor it cause nobody can sell them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🖕🖕🖕🖕

Honestly, ring up the Customer Relationship Center and complain. Loudly.

The "parts" my car needed had been essentially seam sealer. For all of my troubles I did get consideration in the end but the situation was a bit different. They may give you something to either go away or magically find a way to complete the recall.

What exactly was the consideration you got? If you don’t mind me asking

Ended up being a 48k/2 year Ford corporate branded maintenance plan. Originally tried for something else but the CRC dropped the ball a number of times and only gave a final denial on the initial ask after 11 phone calls. Not a typo.
