Will these make my GT faster, no. Will they generate more HP, no. Are they necessary, no. Did I get permission from the boss (aka the wife, hell yes) - actually she encouraged me. Yeah, I know, I chose wisely. Thought about the purchase for a while. Discussed the item with Roush Performance. Dry filters easy to clean last through multiple washing sessions, therefore years. I also purchased two extra filters, just because. The air box tops fit OEM. The filters are very, very well constructed super quality and very robust. They kind of look like the same construction as aFe filters which makes me wonder if Roush contracted them to supply. In my opinion they will flow air a lot better than OEM filters. Now, to be honest I bought them for the look. Was it worth $550.00 for the lids plus two filters. I think so but that's just my opinion. Probably my imagination but there seems to be a different sound when I rev the engine. I used auto rev as I stood by the open engine. Attached are some pics.....BTW I also purchased a nice Roush chrome and red badge to place on the radiator cowling. It should arrive soon.

@Sconn1971 .... They might but these were the only ones I could get that were "dry" so if blue they would likely be oiled - which I am sure you and the rest of the forum would treat properly because of the knowledge base here. I have read that Corsa will soon have their version of clear air box lids and they will offer two types of filters: dry that are red in color and oiled that are blue in color. I think aFe offers blue oiled filters along with Steeda. I considered buying the Roush kit and blue oiled filters from Steeda or aFe because my 24 GT is Vapor Blue and I thought that would look cool. Don't mind the red now that I have seen it installed...matches the battery post cover and will match the Roush red and chrome metal badge that's coming ... LOL.

@Joe_Stang .... agree 100% and almost certainly better airflow. I think several manufacturers are/will offer aftermarket air intake tubing too and that's next on my list.

Why not go all the way? One of the locals installed blue LEDs inside the box. It does highlight the scene after dark.

For those who like under-hood views... Once upon a time, if you didn't mind spending $500 plus shipping, you could get a clear Lexan hood for a Taurus SHO. Oddly enough, they're rather sturdy. Or as was the word back then... Far Out!

Quick question... I don't want to be tacky but I was wondering what kind of emblem or sticker or what that you would use to put something on that radiator cowling. Is there a certain kind of emblem that is metal and sticky on the underside where you can place it, or do you have to stick with decals/stickers? I'd toyed with the idea of putting some there as I continue to upgrade the car. Have the launch edition Roush Phase 2 in it currently. They sell a TON of things online but I don't yet know the real difference between a "fender badge," "dash badge" or the like.

@Sinthor 5.56 ..... great question. I too did not want a "tacky" look that detracted from the appearance. I did get some stickers from Roush but IMO they were more for the rear window and that doesn't appeal to me. When I asked Roush they told me there were a lot of aftermarket "badges" etc. that they didn't guarantee and had nothing to do with but there were some on Amazon, eBay etc. I ordered two different types from Amazon the one I will probably use is chrome and red with 3M backing tape. If it enhances the look I'll use it. I can add a pic to my post when it arrives.

I like the contrast of the red. It’s draws attention to the CAI and looks cool. I got blue on mine and should have shaken things up. LOL

That would be worth $550 if Roush designed tubes to go with it, Same benefit, I did a pair of aFe dry filters and stock boxes, lids and tubes.
