Honestly I wanted these when they first teased them then I saw the price. LOL! $550 for intakes and some lids? No thanks. Big rip off. If included new tubes and the entire intake box then YES

But it's not "just" a box cover! It's a box cover with a window!

It's due to consumer demand. Everytime a mfg. comes out with a new car, people want to modify it, so......vendors see an opportunity. Look back in 2005/2006 when ford came out with the S195's. The aftermarket world blew up, vendors could not keep up with the demand. Products were a little cheaper back then, but vendors learned.......

The price is steep, no doubt. But the concept is really cool (get it) and I would be able to enjoy my Steeda ProFlow filters more too. I think that is worth some price of admission for getting the look.

I asked Roush if they would sell just the covers. They said not now but if you are willing to wait, might be able to get them for a more reasonable price later on when some of the hype wears off. I hope.

Can someone please explain to me how this is a cold air intake kit ? It's almost 600 dollars and it's 2 filters and 2 airbox lids ??!!! Im sorry but this is a rip off !

I would like to know if you could use the lids on other CAI system like steeda. A friend gave me his lids because he change to another system.

@JimC ..... filters are not oiled and air flow is better ( measured it with a anemometer). IMO its a nice look too. If $550.00 is too steep for you that's a valid opinion.
