Hi just a quick question, so i was successfully able install my paddle shifters on my ecoboost. I went into FORscan and enabled the settings to display my gear and change my PRNDL to PRNDM. i even bought a new trim for my gear shifter to show PRNDM. the only question i have is if there is a way to enable the actually indicator when to shift? i see on some s650's they have a bar that fills up and flashes red indicating when to shift. I looked through FORscan and enabled "Performance Shift" and "Performance Shift Indicator" thinking that was it but the option does not pop up on my track apps. please let me know if there is something that i am missing or if the car simply isn't able to show the indicator. thank you !

It is possible to enable this. “Performance Shift” and “Performance Shift Indicator” both need to be enabled in FORScan in both the APIM and IPC modules. After that you need to configure it in the Track Apps for your specific drive mode. It will then show up when you put your shifter into “M” mode.

If it’s not showing up in your track apps, just triple check all your FORScan edits

Just about to order this one as well but the description says switches are not included. Bit confused

- Steering wheel kit does not include switches, air bag module or hardware. Switches, air bag module and hardware must be transferred from owners original steering wheel.

I could only find one entry in the APIM under Performance Shift Indicator (PSI)
7D0-10-03*xxxxxxxxx--

and in the IPC under Performance Shift
720-06-01x*xxxxxxxx--
and under Performance Shift RTT
720-10-01xx*xxxxxxx--

Is that correct?

Yes, these should be the only 3 that you need to modify to enable Performance Shift. After you do all 3, the option to turn it on should display in the "Track Apps" section.

How bad was swapping the airbag? I'm no stranger to using cad devices in aircraft, but it's a bit different in a car. Just don't wanna become one of those guys. Was it fairly straight forward for you?

Swapping the airbag is easy, there are quite a few videos on YouTube that are easily searchable that will show you where the release pins are and how to disconnect the wiring. Just be sure to disconnect the negative terminal on your battery before starting and you'll be fine.

Copy. Thanks, yeah I read through the service procedure about the release pins. Just seemed a bit too easy. Lol

I just did the swap of the wheel. I moved the harness and back cover to my original wheel.

Only issue I had that for the PCM in Forscan as built I could not see the right blocks. I had to use the other mode, which then worked fine.

Got the Manual Mode and SST activated along with the Shift lights!

Thanks to everyone in this forum!!!!

The drive is so much nicer and fun now!

Hey just replying from my previous message, I’ve come back with a follow up question regarding the gear indication. I’ve realized that when in Park or Neutral, the gear display does not display neither. Only when I put the car into drive does it show the gear that I’m in. Is it possible to display park and neutral as well?

Gear indicator and transmission position indicator (on bottom of screen) are two different things...

It's already on the bottom of your screen bud.
