really does not make scene to upgrade value wise as from the start stage 1 with warranty vs stage 2 are the same price
without the warranty its $500 cheaper

once hp tuners finds all the limiters i will be removing them that will only cost me $200 in credits plus i will make all the modes i use shift like drag mode

Why would you want every mode to shift like drag mode? Can't you just put it in Drag Mode when you want to shift like that?

I like firm shifts but I also want the safety junk

I'm going to order up some stuff and be the guinea pig for this experiment. Is this the time to add headers? Cars plenty loud enough, but if they help the Whipple exhale more efficiently maybe worth it.

1 7/8 or 2 inch headers are bound to add power naturally aspirated or boosted.

I reached out for some answers to the Stage 2/ Stage 3 question about speed limiter parameters in the tunes for these packages. Should get some answers Monday and will order the recommended parts and pieces. More to follow

At the time I had my Whipple supercharger installed i asked what is the top speed before , I also called Ford performance, both stated 168 mph. That's the limit. I will not tell you what the dealership said top speed is after the supercharger installation, you probably wouldn't believe it either. I didn't. So I called Ford Performance again, he confirmed it. But like I said i won't spill the beans. You'll be very surprised.

According to what I just got back from my inquiry the Whipple tune for Stage 2 takes limiter from 155mph to 186mph. I asked for it in writing from Whipple directly. We shall see what I get back.

Based on the original question in this post and the various numbers out there. I’m more curious now than I was before I ever bought or tuned my car what the real answer is.

I was told different. With what I was told I'd never buy the GTD. No need to. I was told something a little closer to 200 mph by 3 people . All Ford employees. Do I believe it. Not sure. One thing I do know it's crazy fast.4-0 against them he'll kitty's

I'd believe that. If it can exceed 260kmh with 500hp, 750 - 800 should take it really close to the double ton.

Based on MotorAuthority data (cut attached) the top speed for DH is listed as 165mph. Looking at FORD specifications for DH in Europe the data there lists 262.8Km/hr

I registered for the texas mile but i'm taking my focus rs. Had the tuning announcement been made prior to registering, i would have registered the dh. Might go back in 2026 with it. I still don't know if they figured out how to raise speed limiter. I assume they have?

Wow. I did not realize the stage 1-2 upgrade was that much coin.

Yep I regret not going straight to stage 2. Almost a fifth of the entire stage 1 package cost for the throttle body, intake and tune file.

I think it is odd that this model has been produced for two years and none of us even know what the speed limiter is on the car.
