The one downside to an automatic vs a manual is that neutral shift and rev. Is this possible with an automatic? I've done it in other cars but not the S650

If I remember correctly, some of the older automatics could rev if you hold both +/- paddle shifters at the same time. My current S650 does not do this. Maybe this can be added with a tune, now that they are available. Someone smarter than me might be able to answer this. The one downside to an automatic vs a manual is that neutral shift and rev. I read the exact same thing and tried on my S650 a month or 2 agoOn the Corvette from General motors, you're able to pull both paddle shifters in and then press the gas in order to free rev. Can you not do that in this car?

Is that you, Joe?Please don't.
My e90 M has a DCT and I don't see the point in doing this. Am I missing something? You guys are thinking of dual clutch auto's and yes they'll free rev if you hold both paddles but the A10 doesn't do that unfortunately. With a torque converter auto like the A10 you can put it in neutral while moving(or still) and free rev just make sure the RPM's drop down to idle for a second or two before going back to drive or it'll lurch forward something fierce.
Everyone that drives by me slows down, rev's their car, then goes away. Just wanna talk back to the other stangsIs there some practical application for doing this of which I am unaware?
