It's bizarre for sure. I can't help but wonder if maybe there will be another to open the garage door from the infotainment system or something.

We both know that's never going to happen. Mustang is a brand now, it is no longer just a model. Ford made this very clear with the introduction of the Mach-E. Personally, so long as "our" mustang continues with a V8, RWD and a M6 I do not care what the attach the Mustang name to.
Still think it’s a missed opportunity to introduce the Falcon to the world (Worked with the Maverick). Australia did great with the Ranger Raptor and Mad Max inspired Falcons next to Bullitt Mustangs seems like a marketing layup. But this topic has ran its course for sure. Lol

Pony car, muscle car, who cares what you call it. You know what I mean
Well, not to go super nerd and correct you, buuuut they are two separate things. šŸ˜‰

A pony car is a sporty small to compact car with a V8. Like the Mustang, Camaro and Firebird.

A Muscle car is a mid size or full size car with a large big block engine and can include 4 doors. Think Charger, GTO, Chevelle.

I feel like the garage door opener should be at least an accessory. What a wild thing to cut from a sports car that costs 45+k lol.
Well it's a $45k sports car that doesn't have front parking sensors either! Even though it DOES have adaptive cruise control that can literally detect the distance of cars in motion dozens of feet in front of it.

I wish they released the 2025 Builder so I can see what's in store.

Well,, if they do stick with these specs, it appears that they are really decontenting the Mustang. I would not even consider a car this expensive without Homelink and adaptive cruise. That’s just insane! Glad we recently found a still new in stock 2024 Premium PP!

It really is. I honestly can't remember the last time I had to keep my garage door opener in the car!
My community had to replace our gates. They decided to go with an advanced security system that guess what? Doesn’t read the codes from devises like Homelink.

Hmmm. I wonder if Homelink is getting obsolete? Seems like it's easy to defeat from a security standpoint.

Every six months or so that these prices go up, especially for 2026, I thank myself for preordering in early 2024. Sure, I’d have made a couple changes to my order, but seeing what my build would cost if ordered today is wild.

This was not exactly a banner year for Mustang sales. Decreasing standard content and increasing pricing….. I feel like the recalls and profitability at Ford are starting to hurt their Mustang content. I have been back and forth over paying $80k for a dark horse, but may have to buy one before they become $100k and shittier.

The 2026 Mustang Dark HorseĀ® coupe is ready for the streets and the track. Featuring a modified Gen-4 5.0 liter Coyoteā„¢ V8 engine — our most powerful naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 ever.

What has changed? If they are talking about a modified engine, I am excpecting more BHP
