As stated, it seems like the newest programming for the A10 LOVES to stay in the highest gear possible, especially on slight inclines, where the engine almost seems to lug and not like the gear it is in at all. We’ve had a 2015 and 2019 GT convertibles, and I don’t remember their hesitance to...
Well,, if they do stick with these specs, it appears that they are really decontenting the Mustang. I would not even consider a car this expensive without Homelink and adaptive cruise. That’s just insane! Glad we recently found a still new in stock 2024 Premium PP!
I need to have mine in quiet mode going in and out of my retirement community, but as soon as I am rolling outside of that, my first option is the “normal” one for the exhaust, next to the quiet one. It just seems to purr at all rpm’s, especially on the highway!
Thanks, Glenn………those wheels are an $800 option, but I think that they are worth it……they also do a great job of hiding the Brembos brake dust!
When you get into either eBay or Amazon, I think that there is a provision to check vehicle year/make/model……..I think that these will fit every Mustang starting in 2015, but better to check, I think.
When you are talking about rod angle, are you referring to the width/circumference of the crankshaft? Makes sense to me that a wider crank would yield more force on it each stroke, than if the rods are connected more closely to the center.
I lean mine forward in there so it does not flop around, and it’s nice to see the phone there when you get out so you don’t leave it in the car. On longer trips, my wallet goes there instead, and the same thing applies when getting out! I have a problematic lower back, so not sitting on my...
I think that we have lost the intent of my original post. It was only meant to compare a 6.2 liter V8 producing 490 HP to a 5.0 one producing 486. I am still impressed with Fords’ engineering in that accomplishment!
Yes, at nearly 5,000 rpm for the torque peak on the 5.0, it is WAY up there. I hear that the 5.0 is a monster between there and the 7,500 rpm redline…….Have to do that someday, I guess……lol….
The entry level C8 6.2 (!!) liter V8 produces 490 HP. By comparison our little 5.0 nearly matches that at 486 — AND the DH version has more @500! Pretty nice for ” just a pony car”, right?
And yes, I do know how much quicker the C8 is off the line and in the 1/4 mile because the weight of the...
Yup, got it on the timer, and still starts explosively — too loud for my 55+ community standards! I have the timer set so the only time it is NOT in quiet mode is between 2 AM and 3AM.
I am thinking that reprogramming the dash for the adjustable exhaust when added might be a bigger challenge? If you don’t mind the exhaust being quieter all of the time, I am sure your local muffler shop will have solutions for you…I have the optional Ford exhaust and even when quiet mode is...
