Any Info. or thoughts on Camaro returning?

Was watching a couple youtube videos on the 24 Camaro SS and ZL1 and do you all think GM will bring back a V8 Camaro sometime? I wonder if they are working on one? Heard Dodge may bring back V8 Challengers or Chargers since the EV one is not doing well. I test drove a SS Camaro a few years ago and it did drive very well, took turns & handled better than Mustang but could not get over the poor visibility, even though I would probably get used to it. I did have a Z28 back in the 90's, was a fun car back then. Hopefully GM does so it gives the Mustang some competition so they keep improving it.

If GM did this, they would have to improve the 14” tall side windows. We rented one on vacation a couple of years ago, and could not even see the scenery outside without stopping and getting out of the car! Worst car for visibility I’ve ever been in….besides being cartoonish on the outside as well.

Dodge is putting the V8 in the 1500 truck. The charger gets the SST. No V8 in the car anytime soon. It will not fit.

Oh ok just a V6 for the charger then, did not know V8 would not fit. & I bet that ZL1 was nice. I was just checking out gm authority on any camaro news and they do have rumors of a possible return of it, lots of comments on gm trademarking the panther name. How did you like that LT4?

I agree they need to improve the window size, the beltline was too high, I could still drive it ok though when I test drove one. and yeah the proportions or something need improving on the exterior. the ZL1 looked the best. & they had to use the camera rear view mirror so you could see better behind you.

V6 maybe but the Hurricane SST is a straight 6 twin turbo. In my truck it puts out 540HP and 521 torque. Nasty engine

wow that is nice for a straight 6, have not done any research on those before.

If so, you wont see it until 2027-2030.

There was an article by GMAuthority that mentioned that engineers and executives pitched a 7th gen project to upper management but was rejected due to sales volume metrics.Would be on Alpha 2 chassis.

GM, with all the government and customer demand changes is probably internal turmoil of having to shift their priorities of their current projects, hybrids, EVs, ect .

Camaro will always be the last priority to the company.

It would need to cost noticeably less than a Mustang (GT) and have massively improved visibility all around for me to pay attention. But then maybe people would say "Ugh it looks too much like a Mustang!"

I just recently attended an engineering meet at one of the plants announced for the Gen IV V8 GM is making... I personally asked about this noting Corvette hasn't been mentioned in the publications and there is currently zero plans or development. If such a thing we're to happen it would not be for a long time.

I would like to see GM make a Camaro comeback. Ford always needs competition but, never, in a thousand years would I ever buy another GM product. GM products are for other people, definitely not me.

GM has their hands full on a recall of "only" 600,000 defective V8's. Yeah, they need a Camaro like they really need Mary Barra. She is what is commonly referred to as "a failure". Over and out.
