Had the car less then a week.... Some issues I've noticed.

So update from Ford service at my local dealer the service advisor sent me this via text:

"yessir fault messages and auto updates were due to battery, battery still tested good but state of charge was low so we charged, and reset the system. Good to go there. We have a p/s headlamp on the way and there was a TSB from ford on the headliner. The only thing I dont have figured out is the gap between the headlights and bumper."
Nice! Sounds like you have a competent dealer. 👍🏻

There is absolutely no reason an OTA update should take months. That's just silly and ridiculous.
30 minutes at the most is what it should take. If its taking months then the connection is extremely poor, its not completing, bugged, or failing to update and the process repeats.

Perhaps people are thinking its a series of updates that had to be downloaded separately over a period of months.
Or that an update keeps failing and it takes months for it to be fixed.

...but a single update to download and install does not take months...period.

People think Ford says...this update is now available. Let us know it a few months once its downloaded and installed?

30 minutes?

You are mixing OTA installation with receiving the OTA on your car before installation. It can take months and yes it is normal. That's how Ford works. And yes, it is "random" as well. So it might be that your neighbor gets it today and you will get in in 2 months.

So its the issue of getting the update to be sent to the vehicle that is causing the wait times?
Still unacceptable to me.

I'd call this number for Fords OTA Update team like someone did on Reddit:

That sounds like a copy paste answer as what Ford always does when you want something done.

Again. You can't control when an updates arrives to your vehicle. So you can't update the car in 30 minutes if there is no update available to download on your car.

Ford probably would not give you the uodate if you go to the dealership and ask them to do it for you, unless it's something very serious that needs an update right now.

Dropped my car off at the dealer for a few things I’ve noticed so far:
(300a 2024 GT 6m)

  • Driver’s side bumper sagging
  • Pop-up warning for front camera failure
  • OTA (over-the-air) updates not working at all.
  • Chrome peeling/chipping inside the headlight housings
  • Headliner not lining up properly with the window gasket—noticeable gap there

Anyone else seeing these issues? I know the bumper sag seems pretty common. Hoping the dealer takes care of all this under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. My service advisor was actually super helpful, so fingers crossed.

I’ve never had any issues so far.
I’ve had two or three updates.
One was for the Black screen. 📺
I’ve owned my 2024 GT 401-A a little over a month and a half.
Purchased March 31, 2024.
So far, so good.
It sounds like the dealer didn’t do a complete pre-delivery.

Really? How does an extended warranty not cover the headlight housing?
If you purchase the extended warranty after your 36,000 three year warranty runs out then your extended warranty kicks in and it’s bumper-to-bumper at least mine is

@IFFV68 make sure you have these boxes checked or unchecked according to what you need. The box for all lighting should not be checked if you have the rider. You might still be able to get lighting coverage as your 3 year is still in effect.

Damn, dude that sucks. I haven't seen any of these pop on mine and feel kind of fortunate. The back of the screen trim rattles like a MF on uneven roads and a couple panels could fit together a bit tighter but I've left them alone for now.

As you see now, some members you might want to ignore, like ChodePilot.

Holy hell man. Ego much?
Holy hell, man. Facts and reality much? I share the facts, and I don't sugar coat facts so 'fee-wings' don't get hurt. If you don't like the facts, I can't help you.

Claiming that the OTA process on your car is "broken" because you push the button and expect it to update like a cell phone CLEARLY shows that you don't know what you're talking about (not you, but in general).

Ego? I noticed that you didn't disagree with the facts I posted. It has nothing to do with ego.
