Cold start idle down “chirping” 30 to 60 seconds , then goes away .

you all have factory warranty and maybe some of you extended warranty. Drive it like you stole it. If it breaks take it back to the dealer. I stoped worrying about various noises. If you search around those noises some people say its normal, other say not, dealer says everything is normal (most of the time) . So why bother? Document everything and keep driving it

my 24 had it, drove fine. My 25 does not have it after 3k miles. Seems like an issue that is not uncommon.

My 24 has it. Started around 500 miles and now at 2300 it’s does not last as long as when it first started maybe 20-30 seconds vs 2-3 min when it first started. Took it to the dealer and they started the next morning when cold and said it’s the hydraulic timing chain tensioner and recommend what someone said above. Fix it when it breaks because the noise goes away so quickly I might never have a real issue. I added 2 bottles of Ceratec (1 bottle treats 5 qts) and now I barely hear it so I’m with the folks above and the hell with the noise is just drive your car if you’re under warranty it brakes fix it..

I got a chuckle out of this thread. The OP sounds like one high strung individual. The whole lemon law thing was completely ridiculous. God forbid this guy ever hears the Coyote tick or he's gonna need therapy.

My car does it. But it's barely noticeable for like 30 seconds tops. And only on cold startup. It's never bothered me enough to even consider having it looked at. I read another thread where this complaint was brought up and it ended up being a noisy PCV valve. So who knows if it's the same thing we're all hearing or what the OP had. In either case both are harmless noises, and not failures. Coyotes are noisy engines. You gotta drive your car and stop looking for problems.

Good points on all. I appreciate the input. The engine is completely quiet otherwise. Just gonna drive and enjoy it. Maybe I'll look into it closer to warranty expiration. Thank you all!

It’s an annoying issue for sure. Should not exist on a car this expensive. Another quality control issue that is not addressed. I would have taken my 24 into the dealer, but I have no faith based on my experiences. Techs are careless with the cars. Not taking mine back to the dealer unless it is towed in !!!!!
