After much contemplating what route to go with the setup of my car interior, I settled on the following for the track.

1. Watson Racing 4 Point Cage
2. Cobra Nogaro Circuit Seats with PCI slider mounts
3. Schroth Quick Fit Pro harness with sub straps (6 point)
4. NecksGen Rev2 Carbon HNR
5. Element fire extinguisher

I finally completed the install this evening. None of the items were that difficult to install by myself, but it certainly would have been more work getting the cage installed if I didn’t have a lift. I’m very happy with the way everything turned out and am excited to head to Barber at the end of the month.

Wow that looks very nice. What did you plan on doing with the interior in the back? I was looking around for a roll bar. Is that bar NHRA legal? I was thinking of painting it Notorious blue like the calipers. Great job.

Excellent choice of equipment, liked Schroth myself the best. Halon extinguisher? Must ask though, why are you not strapping the shoulder harnesses onto rollbar behind seats slots. You'll like turn 8.

I love your setup. Are you planning to put the rear seats back, assuming they can be put back? Or you are installing rear seat delete kit? Or leave it like this? Thanks

The bar is NHRA legal.

I plan on leaving the back of the car like it is for now. Watson Racing has a rear seat delete kit designed to go with their bar, but for track use I just don’t see a need. I’ll be tracking the car from May through November, which is when my work schedule allows. After the season I may pull the cage, seats and harnesses out to go back to stock. That said, I only put about 200 miles on the car this offseason, and 150 of that was to heat cycle my new tires.

The extinguisher is not halon but some other type of clean agent rated ABC and K. I like it because it is compact and doesn’t expire.

The harnesses are Schroth’s Quick Fit Pro, which are designed to connect to the factory seat belt points and allow quick installation and removal. They are only approved for use with stock seats and a couple of other aftermarket seats which have been tested for seatback strength due to the angle of the mounting in the rear using the rear seatbelt points rather that the roll bar. I was originally going to use them without the cage, which is why I chose them. Then, after adding the cage I decided I still liked the setup versus buying a different harness. They are approved for use with hnr systems, so I didn’t see a need to change.
