I’ve briefly tried out the BlueCruise features on long road trips down relatively straight stretches of I-95 before and it worked just fine for cruising, but that was a few software updates ago. Coincidentally, my app shows my car downloaded 10.1.1 about one week prior to my car’s attempted violence. In that week I’ve had much more CarPlay connectivity issues, including CarPlay crashing Google Maps, infotainment screen display issues, stereo sound issues, etc.
It’s going to the dealership tomorrow for a separate concern (coolant level is a little lower than it had been, both cold and at op temp) and I’ll bring this up.

it felt as if the steering pulled towards the line and median wall. Has anyone else experienced similar problematic assistive features?
Similarly, I find myself fighting it because it pulls toward the lane marker, but even worse were times when I am cruising along comfortably on a freeway when it gets confused by the open lane marker at an exit ramp and suddenly veers toward that lane. If I were one of those clowns who don't watch out the windshield while using this technology, I believe I would have hit crash barriers more than once.

It's this kind of expensive and unreliable garbage driving up costs.
Yep. Soon the average Mustang driver will need to attend college and obtain a two year degree for a BS in computer science.

I also have the same experience where I feel like the wheel is pulling me closer to lanes for no reason! I turned that off and only left on the vibration of the steering wheel when I'm to close to the lane, and I love that function much more.

It works well with fresh pavement marking lines and I like it when it works. However, many times I am fighting the system when it does not follow my steering and fights back. Especially when I am trying to get to right turn lane.

so cutting across multiple lanes would probably drive it crazy? Yeah, I'm out on any steering or braking imputs
that I didn't instigate :)

These BlueCruise assistive features are definitely not an autopilot system. I, and most of us, get that, but these flawed system reactions seem like they’ve introduced us to unnecessary danger just by turning them on. Another thing that worries me is that Ford’s page states it’s “Hands-Free Highway Driving,” which it clearly isn’t based on our collective experiences.

The Mustang is not equipped with the BlueCruise, it is just a derivate tech, in no cases it allows you to drive hands-free... well, actually, it won't allow you to drive either with hands on the wheel. :D

That’s my bad. It’s the Co-pilot360 Assist+ that’s equipped. I remembered blue cruise being mentioned somewhere during ordering but couldn’t remember where. Likely just that the Assist+ features are derived from BC

Yeah, the "Assist+" is that "Lane Centering" thing, basically it follows the road (instead of waiting you to hit the lane marker and correct), like the BC, but you still have to keep your hands on the wheel.. and it's the source of the "keep hands on wheel" bug mentioned above: if you don't move the wheel often enough (in example while driving on a straight road), the message will popup.
