Hello! I’m trying to get that classic white que ball shift knob look on my 2024 GT. I have my eye on the Bullitt shift knob that fits 15’-24’ stock shifter, however I’ve heard there’s a 3/16th of an inch gap between the knob and reverse lockout.

i was wondering if anybody running this knob has had reverse lockout issues with this little gap? or if it’s purely an aesthetic choice if you mind it or not?

I can’t seem to find much information on any alternatives to keep the reverse lockout flush with the knob on the new gen.

Thank You!!

Are we talking about a manual or an automatic? Manual-no issues. Installed and love it.

There's lots of different brands. But to guarantee fitment I'd stick with Ford. Although they're much more expensive. The old company that made them for many years makes all kinds of diy colors for all kinds of vehicles. My daughter had one put in my Mustang along with the short stroke shifter. I prefer a white ball because that's what we all had on our 63 Impala SSs. I wish I'd have kept my original one.

Are there any for automatic?
Yep. That they do. Try America Muscle. I believe they're at America muscle.com. A bit steep in price, but it looks classy. No PRND printed on it. Item #406736. I had one on my 63 Impala SS automatic. Chevy stopped using them in 64 in favor of a T shifter. So wether it's an automatic or manual I prefer these. If you get it share a photo of it.

I just installed the Bullitt knob, although there is a small gap between the reverse lockout and knob itself, it works completely fine. The gap is only noticeable if you’re looking at it from the side, so Its a personal preference thing really.

Is there a weight limit on knobs. The manual states "do not to rest your hand on shifter".
Would a heavier knob have to same effect?
I bought one from Shift Solutions and it weights 510 grams.
Would it change the throw feel?
Thanks
