No tools or hardware required. It did take some significant grip strength the break the glue on the stock knob. Just be patient. You could use some vice grips but I didn’t want to risk damaging it. After that it’s just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one.

A rubber strap wrench makes easy work of it. You can also put a little masking tape on the stock knob to prevent damage to the leather.

I hated the stock knob and just burned some Ford Pass points on the carbon fiber Ford Performance knob. I generally opposed to decorative CF but it doesn't scream fake to loudly. Maybe something will eventually catch my eye.
