I have seen that you could print the Whipple Supercharger manual and have a good thorough reading and imaging what you’ll be going through to take on the Whipple Supercharger! On my old Cobra 2003, I was able to install it myself but a racing mechanic offer to tune it for me! Went up to 561 horsepower on that motor which was awesome! That’s the same motor on the far left top corner! Now that I have DH and will be going through the WSC (Whipple Super Charger) manual myself soon! Might be a wise move to do so! Good luck and wish you the best!
Here is Fords installation manual for the Ford Performance Whipple kit

Whipple install completed! I owe the thread my thoughts about the install but that'll come another day after I get time to sit down and think it out.

I find great satisfaction in knowing my ride is modified the way I want it because I did the work. This was a good opportunity to become more familiar with everything under the hood on this generation. Here's my thoughts on my install.

I took my time and my Whipple install took me about 15 total hours spread out over 3 days. I also did my motor mounts which took about 2 hours of that time. Ford quoted me 11 hours of labor so I was in the ballpark considering I had no suspense. The printed instructions from Ford are basically a screenshot from Whipple's with the calibration steps added. The electronic version's pictures are lower quality and not searchable so I used Whipple's pdf instructions on my tablet. The instructions (Mar 27th version) annoyingly have a handful of errors. There's a few steps with wrong fastener quantities and sizes but nothing show stopping or difficult to figure out yourself. They tell you to loosen the BCM bolts and set it aside for no reason which could potentially cause someone a problem with bent pins upon re-seating. There is a step to install 2 connector plug blanks but it's actually 3. They also omit the fact that you have to trim the grille shutter in 3 areas to make it fit with the new heat exchanger and that you can't reinstall the radiator side trim pieces (or I just couldn't figure out how to make them fit). The trimming was easy enough to do with a rotary tool.

I would call my only real issue self induced. The instructions call to disconnect the fuel pump driver module and start the motor until it stalls. Then to do another 10 second crank to relieve the fuel pressure. I cranked it a few extra times then had the bright idea to install the new Whipple calibration before I disconnected the battery. I then used the battery for quite a bit post install running the Whipple's coolant pump to prime the new plumbing. This gave me a low battery charge, a dash full of errors, and no starter engagement when I was ready to start back up. I put the battery on my AGM charger overnight excited for the next morning. The next day I get in the car with a fully charged battery and got the same dash full of errors and no starter engagement. I decided to reflash the calibration and she finally fired up.

My tips:
-Start on jack stands then lower the front of the car back onto it's wheels after removing the bumper to make working under the hood easier.
-Make sure you have the recommended tools and supplies on hand. I had to make a few trips to the hardware store. Particularly important is a 10mm universal joint socket and magnetic spark plug socket with attached swivel extension. I also recommend replacing the plastic christmas tree fasteners as you reinstall everything.
-The rear most passenger side spark plug is very difficult. I had to remove the battery and the metal separation plate in order to give my socket and extension clearance.
-Consider locking your extensions and sockets together with masking tape or similar when working in tight spaces if they could separate by catching an edge.
-Use masking tape or a magnetic tool on bolt heads for the back of the supercharger when you're trying to drop them into their holes between the lid and firewall.
-Use @roket's instructions from this post to enable the boost gauge with FORScan: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/th...ing-for-2024-mustang-s650.156285/post-3254179

So with that said, if you're considering doing your own install and are comfortable giving up the powertrain warranty (or don't have the option), go for it. It's not hard. My thought process is that if Ford Performance and Whipple are willing to warranty it for 3 years when installed correctly then they're confident in the assembled product and I can be, too!

As for the performance post install... Just wow! It absolutely hauls ass. 1st gear is almost useless for traction. 2nd gear pulls like old 1st gear. 3rd pulls like old 2nd. It's a ton of fun and the sound of the bypass valve actuating is delicious. Downsides? 11 miles per gallon. lol

Got started, put about 4 hours in today, pulled intake etc… taped off and that’s all I got time for now. Should have time on Wednesday also.

shoutout on Father’s Day, my moms dad Arnie’s channel locks and my dads father Art’s vintage farm wrench from his dad in the 1800s
Remarkable precision for almost 200 years old.

Sent whipple my tune req file at 1am in the morning. They just sent my tune already.
So they are on top of business

also ordered a griptech 3.5 pulley and pnp bap.
Seems like returns diminish going much smaller than that from every dyno/ dragy test I’ve been seeing.

I saw a post from Lidio - he broke a half shaft at the track on the weekend. So be careful launching it!

Yeah I’m going to put a GT350 axle in the driver side, good reminder though!
Why only on one side? Do it on both sides to be safe!

Because the passenger side is the same.

In a GT Halfshaft there is a taper in the metal towards the knuck… that’s where they snap
(Only on the driver side thought, no taper on passenger.
And the 350!axle is straight with no taper also, plenty of 8 and 9 second cars on a 350 driver side.

Put a few more hours in today, i had to make a few trips to the store for, anti seize, silicone lube spray, loctite and 1/4” 10mm swivel, i needed to get a 27mm socket too, but i probably could’ve just used my crescent in hindsight.

with the exception of putting the lower on I’ve done this all solo so far, really nbd. Just time consuming and triple checking everything.

hopefully be out on Woodward gapping demons and M4s this weekend

Great video and pictures. Thank you. To those who've installed or had the FP Stage I installed by someone else, did any of you do headers?

Thanks for the acknowledgment! Learning from all people in this great website! I don’t jump into new things so early! I always wait till I hear the out come from all the people’s response to the products before buying anything! Thanks!

This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. Is the part# for the Stage I and Stage II Whipple supercharger the same? I come up with M6066M8800 for both. Thanks.

Can't think of a reason the blower itself would be any different.
