Auto StartStop (disabled due to battery charging)

Has anyone gotten this feature to work on manual transmission? The on-screen display says "Engine on Normal operation" when I am in motion. Every time I come to a stop it says "Engine on due to vehicle charging". I drive 50 miles round trip to work and back. The battery should be getting plenty of charge.

Recalls are for safety issues. Battery not charged or an auto stop/start not working because the voltage is low is not a safety issue. Perhaps you meant TSB (technical service bulletin)?

I noticed today when I switched from Normal to Sport mode the auto start/stop automatically turned off and I got that engine on normal operation message. Does sport mode automatically disable start/stop?

Yes, auto start/stop is disabled in sport mode.

If you train normal mode in a sporting manner will sport mode be enhanced as well?

have your battery load tested. if it is weak it will not work. I have a 2017 Ranger that is on its third battery under warrenty.

With the exception of keeping RPMs down for the first 1K miles just for S&G, I drive it now like I'll drive it then - different driving modes, different speeds, automatic and paddle shifting, etc.

~500 miles down, ~500 to go.

I tried Sport mode out yesterday. I hear a strange noise when I shift. I will start a new post to explain.
