AUTO STOP/START- Does your delivered GT have it?

AUTO STOP/START- EPA gas saver by stopping engine in idle.
EcoBoost has it I believe but GT does not have the physical button Yet..So does that mean NO AUTO STOP/START feature yet on GTs?

Of all the IRL photos I have seen of GT dashboards I have not seen that button included

Nope and I hope they will never implement that on the GT. My car has it and I always have to turn it off before starting the car.

I was talking to my neighbor about it, he works at Ford, he was saying it’s due to a chip shortage for the auto start/stop and should be available next year.

Personally I hope it never returns. I turn it off on every vehicle I’ve owned that’s had it.

When available it will be standard. But since it can be turned off it doesn’t matter.

That doesn’t make any sense. Auto S/S is used by manufacturers for EPA mileage purposes. If it’s needed for that purpose Ford has to make it standard. Beside no one would ever opt in for it on a GT.

As many others have said, the first thing I do when I get into a car with auto off/on is disable the feature. If I forget, I will turn it off the first time it engages.

No way in hell am I wearing out my starter, battery, air compressor, motor mounts by turning the car off and on at every stop I make to save pennies.

So glad I ordered early and avoided the late availability
I assumed Ford removed the button but still had it.

Picked up my GT premium yesterday. No, it does not have it.

Thank God! Hate that feature on my 20 X5 and new 24 model removed the S/S button
altogether so to disable you will have to go Sport mode or 3 step navigating on screen like the GT will be. A Ludicrous pain in the ass! Should be a one time permanent disable like some cars past used to have.

My wife's Volvo has a an on/off in the settings. Once and done. But permanent disabling it would be against the rules. Do you really think any car manufacturer wants to pay the cost of adding this feature? Both the manufacturers and the owners are stuck with it.
