What if the S650 didn't come with an available V8? Would you still "upgrade"?

Sales numbers is a different point altogether. All of the Pony cars are ridiculously priced at this point.I would agree with you but for the fact people are buying them at a fairly high rate (compared to the competition).
I completely agree with you. If you get a GT with all the options it’s over 50000 but there’s also a lot of tech and innovation in these cars. With that said I don’t think I’ll ever buy new simply because the cars just depreciate immediately. I’ve seen fully loaded CPO cars with 3000 miles on them for 38000 at my local dealers. These are cars that had a msrp over 48,000 were used 3000 miles and now have a better warranty than when new for a great price.Who knows.
If you look at Mustang pricing, including dollar inflation, Ford is out of their fucking minds with what they're charging for the car.
Take a Honda Accord, pricing it from 1988 to 2019;
1988 LXi = $15,419
2019 EX = $27,620
Mustang GT;
1988 GT Coupe = $12,745
2019 GT Coupe = $38,000 (to start).
Ford is out of their damned minds with Mustang pricing. These prices are too damn high!!!
I'm lucky to live where I do. Every fall the Mustangs are going for $7K-$8K off sticker, and 0% financing. Two large volume dealers in this area make it the cheapest place in the world to buy a Ford.I completely agree with you. Depends on where you go and when you buy and from what dealer. My 19gt premium with everything on it optioned was 50k after dealing, the dealer had not sold any cars in a few days, sales, 0% and still got all incentives and cash backs. Mine was brand new and only 39k out the door. with a lifetime warrenty on powertrain that had no clauses or special requirements.I completely agree with you. I think I mentioned to you before...I flew from East TN to Chantilly to buy mine from Ted Britt last Oct and saved $10k by avoiding my local dealers.I'm lucky to live where I do. 1988 Honda Accord LXi 17.5 Second 1/4 MileWho knows.

No, it's not.1988 Honda Accord LXi 17.5 Second 1/4 Mile
2020 Honda Accord EX: 15.9 1/4 Mile
Roughly a 10% improvement in 1/4 mile times
1988 GT Coupe 15.0 Second 1/4 Mile
2020 GT Coupe 12.2 Second 1/4 Mile
2020 BASE 2.3L Turbo 13..7 1/4 Mile
An Improvement of 20% in 1/4 mile times
A 2015+ Base Ecoboost will out perform a Fox GT any day of the week, stock to stock. They handle better on every metric, the quality of the interior is a billion times better than any Fox mustang I have ever been in or been around.
The Comparison is more like
1988 LXi to 2019 EX is like a 1988 Mustang GT to 2019 Base Ecoboost Mustang.
Well with a color like Orange Fury, you'd be a fool to part with it! Love love love that color.I kept my 2005 GT for 13 years. I’ll probably keep my current Mustang for at least 10. That means I plan to keep it another 8 years, maybe more.
Thanks. I absolutely love that color, too.Well with a color like Orange Fury, you'd be a fool to part with it! Love love love that color.
The lane keep assist is NOT designed to drive on a highway for you. It's to keep the car from veering off the road or into oncoming traffic if you doze off at the steering wheel. Sheesh, some people...oh yes also for me is improved "auto pilot" features. Fords current nannies are more then useless. The cruise control works great but the lane keep stuff sucks. it wont hold a lane for anything when you want it too and then it tends to make you look drunk as it floats back and forth and tugs the wheel when you dont want it too. i just dont use the system at all its that bad. IM not after a self driving car but what ford has as helpers is totally useless as is.
