I contacted Livinitup on the 14th gen F-150 forums about how I could create a spreadsheet like his F-150 one with all the parameter names and stuff. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell me how he got those, but he shared with me a link for a spreadsheet he put together for the 2024 Mustang, based on the Dark Horse.

This spreadsheet was not made by me, but by Livinitup on f150gen14.com (thread here)

Link to the spreadsheet

Here's some stuff that people might be interested in
x = don't change
* = target digit(s)
X = checksum bits (don't change)

Change Speedometer
AddressValue
720-11-01xxx*-xxxx-xxXX
New ValueWhat it does
4140mph speedometer (EcoBoost)
5160mph speedometer (GT)
6180mph speedometer (Dark Horse)
7220mph speedometer (Unused, Broken)

Change Tachometer
AddressValue
720-04-02xxxx-**XX
New ValueWhat it does
0A (Imperial), 8A (Metric)Tach Range 1 (6500 redline, up to 8000),
Normal Low Fuel DTE Reminder
0E (Imperial), 8E (Metric)Tach Range 1 (6500 redline, up to 8000),
Reduced Low Fuel DTE Reminder
12 (Imperial), 92 (Metric)Tach Range 2 (7500 redline, up to 9000), Normal Low Fuel DTE Reminder
16 (Imperial), 96 (Metric)Tach Range 2 (7500 redline, up to 9000), Reduced Low Fuel DTE Reminder
1A (Imperial), 9A (Metric)Tach Range 3 (acts like range 2, unused),
Normal Low Fuel DTE Reminder
1E (Imperial), 9E (Metric)Tach Range 3 (acts like range 2, unused),
Reduced Low Fuel DTE Reminder
02 (Imperial), 82 (Metric)No Tach Range (acts like range 2, unused),
Normal Low Fuel DTE Reminder
06 (Imperial), 86 (Metric)No Tach Range (acts like range 2, unused),
Reduced Low Fuel DTE Reminder
the reason for the different imperial vs metric values is this data also controls the units the dash uses, most notably the speedometer. the reason why a whole byte needs to be changed is due to binary bad luck. the last bit in one character and first bit in the other both change the tachometer

<post reserved for interesting FORScan codes/values>

Getting there, still missing a ton of functions. Good work...

yeah, still more work to do, but we're off to a really strong start considering how new the S650 is

their latest Windows release supports the 2024 Mustang, but has issues programming the BCMB, LDCMA, and LDCMB

I have no idea what that is as I am new to this device concept. As I have ordered a 2024 Mustang, and it is chock full of electronics, I figured I'd better get up to speed, which is why I have been watching this thread for the best ODBII scanner to buy.

According to their website, the 2024 Fords are NOT supported. I also asked the manufacturer of BlueDriver. They didn't respond. That means no (in my book).
Still looking.

I've been using FORSCAN since 2016 on the last 3 F-Series trucks I've owned. I've been using the OBDLink MX Bluetooth Scan Tool (Android and Windows) That's been replaced with the OBDLink MX+ (Android, iPhone, and Windows). If I didn't own the MX, the MX+ would be the only one I would even consider. I do own a Mongoose-Plus J2534 VIC for actually programming all the modules (using FDRS), but there's no reason to spend that unless you also plan on updating module firmware in your Ford vehicles.

As I mentioned, the FORScan software for windows does NOT support 2024 Ford & Lincoln. It’s on their website.

yeah, there's probably a lot of unsupported 2024 MY vehicles, but i can promise you the '24 Mustang is mostly supported. i've personally programmed with it on my 2024 Mustang and 2 others, and read data with it on over 10 2024 Mustangs

Read through the forums. The current version is working with certain 2024 vehicles now, and it seems like there are working in the direction of adding more. It's not a simple thing.

Just curious Roket what things could I do with ForScan. I don't have any crazy knowledge about this and I was wondering if it was worth it just to add or change some cool things. Is that possible?

it really depends on how happy you are with the car to begin with. if youre perfectly happy with how it is factory, then it may not be worth it. if you plan to do things like put on much different size rear tires or put in a new diff ratio then it may be worth it. if you plan to do big things like retrofit heated and/or cooled seats, add power folding mirrors, or give the vehicle approach lighting, as well as experimenting just to see what you can add, its definitely worth it. personally, i fall into the 3rd camp of experimenting and retrofitting, plus i also use it at work if, for example, someone wants their auto start-stop disabled, or the key detection alert disabled
