Hey Guys! New to the forum here and looking for some help. I am looking to order a GT early January next year. I started talking to dealerships recently just to square away the deals etc. I am not happy with the ones I have contacted thus far, seems like they have no experience with X-Plan, at least the reps I am dealing with.
Does anyone down in South Florida have a recommendation for a good rep at a local dealership . Maybe someone they've already dealt with and has worked the numbers correctly? I live in Broward County, close to Miami Dade and Palm Beach county, meaning I dont mind driving in the tri-county area of Florida in order to deal with someone worth it. Can anyone help? :help:
I ended up using Trucar website through USAA. Prices vary by location but I actually could have got a lower price than X-plan if I bought in Indy but chose to stick to Denver area (I travel to Indy often) and also by using USAA I got an interest rate discount :-)

I actually tried TrueCar to see how it would compare to X-Plan, it seemed pretty close, even thought I was still saving about 700-1k more with X-Plan due to the Doc fees being capped at $100. I just need to find a dealership in my region with someone that has done X-Plan already and I dont have to haggle and negotiate because they dont know how to close X-Plan deals. This is what I was sent from Autonation Ford in Miami when I inquired about X-Plan:

Vehicle Price
$38,014.16
Destination
$0.00
Discount
$0.00
Selling Price
$38,014.16
Trade Value
$0.00
Difference
$38,014.16
Pay-off
$0.00
Sales Tax
$2,329.16
Dade county tax on 1st 5k
$50.00
Tag/Registration Fees (Estimate)
$300.00
Tire & Battery/ MVWEA
$8.50
Dealer Fee/ Documentation Fee
$699.95
Balance Due
$41,401.77

This to me is wrong. Based on calculations I used from the Google sheet and resources here, this is what I arrived at:

X-PLAN is : Invoice minus (0.4% of Invoice) + $275 dealer fee

invoice $33,306 - $133.22 + $275 admin fee = $33,447.78

+ GT PP 67G - $2,227
+ Premium Trim Package 68B - $353
+ Ruby Red - $353

+ Advertising assessment 1.63% - $669
+ Fuel - $57.60
+ Destination Fee - $825

$37,932.38

+ Tax 6%, since I will be registering in Broward = $40,208.32
+ tag transfer title fee = $77.25

Grand total = $40,285.57 +/- a few cents

So I am not sure how they are working the numbers here.....:frusty:

Yeah it doesn't add up right. Looks like the Dealer Fee/ Documentation Fee $699.95 is the largest culprit. If they're accepting X-plan, they're required to show you the invoice/build sheet with the X-plan price on it. They can only charge $100 in doc fees from what I understand. Otherwise they aren't doing X-plan and would get in trouble with Ford if they're saying they're accepting it and not giving you the correct price.

EDIT: I don't think you quite did your calculations right, but I checked on the X-plan B&P and your car should have an X-plan price of $37,833. Add to that the $100 max doc charge and they should only be charging you (before tax, title, other local stuff) $37,933. Looks like you calculated the X-plan price BEFORE you added the options, but you need to do that calculation AFTER you add all the options, including adding ADV, Fuel, and Destination. When I put it in my spreadsheet I got X-plan price of $37,836:

Starting Invoice GT Premium: $33,306
+ GT PP 67G - $2,227
+ Premium Trim Package 68B - $353
+ Ruby Red - $353

+ Advertising assessment 1.63% - $590.70
+ Fuel - $57.60
+ Destination Fee - $825

invoice $37,712.30 - $150.85 + $275 admin fee = $37,836.45 X-plan price (before doc fee, taxes, local tags/title)

"Working the numbers" being the operative term. Their offer to you is MSRP + $699.95. That's not X-Plan, period. That's a great deal . . . for them. Your X-Plan numbers are very close to correct, depending upon the current advertising charge. Show them, demand them, or find another dealer. No one should be paying $700 over MSRP for a non-LE.

That's not MSRP...so it's still a better deal than MSRP but certainly not X-plan as I mentioned in my above post. MSRP for that car is $40,210

What would be the x plan price for a $42600 sticker price?

GT premium
400A
PP pack 2495
reverse park assist 295
recaro leather 1595
voice nav 795

Base price 36100
total options 5675
Total 41775
dest & delivery 825

MSRP 42600

Dealer said they would sell 1250 over invoice and salesman said which is I BELIEVE better than x plan. I want to shoot him a number that would be the exact x plan price, but I dont know how to find invoice nor how to calculate x plan.

Please help as I might be able to get the car in next day or 2.

You forgot to mention TY in your options :-)

For that car your X-plan price would be $39,994 + max $100 dealer doc fee + tax, title, other local fees

$1250 over invoice is a rip off, FYI. X-plan is usually about $100 over invoice. You can get below invoice from some dealers.

you are absolutely correct

TY is 495

but the final numbers included that figure, I just overlooked it.

Its such a damn fast color that it just blew right by me.

What's the zip code of your dealer? I can punch it in my B&P and get you a PDF if the link doesn't work for you.

I got to the vehicle detail page with the car that I built but how do you get it to show the x plan price?
If it doesn't automatically show it, then you won't be able to. You will need to start off in the www.fordpartner.com website and open the Build & Price from there after you put in your supplier code. That's the only way I can get to the X-plan version of the B&P. You'll see this at the beginning if you're in the right site.
