Let the good times begin. We can wonder about:
1. Euro styling v. retro styling
2. Will it be smaller/lighter?
3. Could we still have a V8?
4. Will it still have the MT82?
5. Will a decent sound system be available?
6. Track handling or drag racer?
7. It's gonna cost HOW much?
I agree with all of this. I think OP might have been under the impression that X-Plan applies ONLY to dealer stock, and it's almost opposite of that. My dealer has his Mustang stock priced at $2K over MSRP and he's serious. My order was at X-Plan. And somehow that makes sense. SMH. But I'm...
Glad to hear it worked out for you. One of the biggest benefits of this forum for me has been learning about X-Plan. I am sure I saved thousands. And I know my order is better for all the discussions, back and forth, and information gleaned from other members.
I just signed the order screen printout, with a notation that we were doing an invoice deal. You are not really buying anything until the car comes, so as long as you get a receipt for your deposit, you are pretty safe.
The words on the EAA coupon almost imply that the $750 can only be used with X-Plan. I have asked Ford C and I if it can be used with other deals, like my "at invoice" deal, and that seems to be a confusing question. They have asked me for everything from my VIN to my bill of sale, but have...
"Working the numbers" being the operative term. Their offer to you is MSRP + $699.95. That's not X-Plan, period. That's a great deal . . . for them. Your X-Plan numbers are very close to correct, depending upon the current advertising charge. Show them, demand them, or find another dealer...
I have my certificate as well, but I cannot get Ford to verify that it's a legitimate offer. Their response: Send us your bill of sale after you buy the car and we'll let you know. Not very reassuring.
No time frame for the offer. The specific PIN has some kind of life, but if it should happen to expire, you can get another (you are entitled to two per year.)
Saw that after I replied, thanks. Still worth the mention, because the difference between X-Plan and invoice is slight, and at least my dealer was willing to do the one and not the other. Not sure why, but I'll take the $130-odd dollar savings.
The big message on this thread is that there's...
I got mine at invoice. You realize that's just a touch less than X-Plan? X-Plan is 99.6% x Invoice, plus $275. (Also plus the advertising and fuel fees, but he'll likely charge those on the invoice deal too, so no matter.)
If the Invoice is $36,000, that's your price. X-Plan would be...
