I was wondering what the issue was, since I had not experienced the steering issues being discussed. I own a Dark Horse and have never owed another Mustang. I thought the steering was better than my Audi, which I thought had good steering.
Yeah, in my non-technical opinion the DH totally cured whatever problem I had with my GTā€˜s steering. Or maybe I just thought I felt it. Or it could have been the Continental tires? I guess it needs to be said too that I’m surrounded by hundreds of miles of curvy mountain roads and I like to roll aggressively so maybe I was being too picky. Anyway, all is well now!

Any not to belabor the point but these 550/650s just look so darn good! Sometimes I find myself in the garage rolling around on my Vyper chair just staring at these cars.

The regular non PP GTs are significantly under tired vs the dark horse or PP GTs. That will definitely contribute to steering feel and traction.

FWIW. I keep a spreadsheet on every thing that I do, or happens, to my cars and bikes, especially modded ones. I even have full suspension set up measurements and damping settings.
It may not help resale value, but I think it helps get a sale.
Another option is to take the goodies off and sell as stock.

The reason that a dealer doesn't offer anything "extra" for modifications was explained by a friend of mine who is a dealer. When he goes to sell the car it is looked at as whatever the VIN reports by the lender, and the modifications mean nothing for value to the lenders.

So the car sitting on his lot, if he adjusts the price for the modification (like the Whipple) means that it is taking up his floor financing while he waits to find the right buyer who can afford to pay the difference in price between what he is trying to get "extra" over what the lender says it is worth. The dealer would rather have you find that right buyer who will pay your the difference instead.
If we assume that you understood your dealer friend correctly I cannot imagine why he told you that. It’s a general tenet of business as a new car dealer that if you have to floorplan your used cars, ie trade-ins, you’re likely teetering on the edge of financial insolvency. No long-term successful dealer I ever knew borrowed money to cover used cars. In fact, dealers who need their used cars floorplanned are considered undercapitalized to the extent most lenders won’t have anything to do with them.
