Upgrading from my now sold 2014 V6. Served me well with a lot of fun through college/first job and is making another college student very happy. Now that I've got real income with the new job, I had to go for the V8 experience

The $SPY US index, was only 122 at the highs of 2010.
Market adjusted your 33k in 2010 would be approximately 108k or more in todays dollars.

Car prices have actually been cut in half basically when you adjust for it.

Yeah so the DH is double what the 2011 was so guess that's what I'm looking at.

Currently just have a 2011 Ford Fusion as my daily. I had a 2006 v6 mustang but sold it and wanted to upgrade to an S550, but decided to wait for the S650. The Darkhorse will be my weekend car.

Adding to the garage, this will be for the weekends. I daily a 2014 Acura MDX which has been the most reliable car I've ever owned and the family mobile is a 2018 Honda Odyssey for shuttling the kids and road trips.

Going from a 2012 Chevy Cruze with 140 HP to a Premium GT Convertible with 486 HP. I have some concerns for my own safety.

I'll probably keep the Cruze for the gas milage, cheap property tax and bad weather. Looking to swap the Cruze out for a plug in hybrid Maverick or Ranger if those become available. There are spy shots for what is believed to be a plug in hybrid Maverick at least.
Dude whenever I’m not driving for work, I’ve been driving a Mitsubishi Mirage. 45mpg is crazy nice, but the trade off is 70hp and hard cloth seats.

Pretty sure both those trucks come in a hybrid, I expect the maverick will get the puhybrid option sooner. I already have a truck, so if I get something for the sole purpose of efficiency, (I can’t believe I’m saying this) but I like what Toyota did with the Prius the past few years. The brand new generation especially.

I also like the idea of a Tesla, but I’ll need to get a 240v outlet first, cuz charging at a public charger sounds miserable

Got a hand me down 2015 dodge dart GT from my parents, tbh a great car especially for a hand me down. Ordered a GT Premium with PP gonna be a graduation present to myself
I was gonna buy a Dodge Dart GT a few years back. I love the styling, and it was comfortable enough, but Dodge reliability was enough to push me away.

Also congrats, sounds like you’ve found yourself a worthy gift

A 2014 Lexus RX 350, need something fun to drive while I wait and work on my project car to be done, a 1995 Subaru Sambar!
Wow! Have fun with that Sambar!

Lexus makes fun cars, but I’ve noticed they’re kind-of a cliche for people in professional, white-collar jobs. They’re also a little plain, which could be seen as a benefit to some
