I bought the highest rated cord I could find that was the color and size I wanted. That's the one I reported problems with earlier, and you told me that a brand name cord solved your problem.

If you do not want to spend for an Apple brand cable (you shouldn't) go with Anker. It is the best quality cable out there. Have been using their products for years.

I use wireless AA, but wireless charging doesn't work unless I take the phone cover off.
So I used the USB-C port for charging and started to get connection problems with AA. It didn't seem to know to use wireless and didn't recognise the cable.
As an aside, Aliexpress have a great range of multiple outlet power socket adapters, high speed USB-A, USB-C, something called USB-C QC30. Cheap as chips....fries in the US.

I think you're right about my USB cord being the cause. The only time I've had wireless issues was when my phone was plugged into the USB cable and when it would have a connection issue, my wireless connection would connect to Sync 4, but it wouldn't connect to Apple Car Play. Cycling the car off and opening the door would sometimes restore normal connections, and sometimes it wouldn't even after multiple cycles.

Since I've stopped using the USB port, the problem hasn't occurred again.
