Neither of those things have anything to do with what I said

we're talking about a stock car on 93 getting gains from just a tune

headers add power no matter what

the guys adding a little boost are also running race gas (the C8 guys did it too before they tuning was available)
please stop acting like you know anything about tuning.

For two years?
They're never released on the first year. If you look at the s550, I think the Ford Performance tunes released in late 2016, and the s550 came out late 2014 as a 2015 model year. I was waiting then also. So it's nothing out of the ordinary.

I've reached out to lund and they have no clue when tuning will be available. So basically don't hold your breath waiting for it. It sucks but what can we do. Going the supercharged route is well over 10k which for most isnt an option.
It's going to cost you 10 K anyway and the Whipple tune on the 2024 isn't exactly terrible. It's just leaving out the people who only want to spend 7000 bucks on a cheap centrifugal set up really

Please tell me what I'm wrong about instead of trying to give me a cheap little insult. You're talking about the adaptability of the factory to not the conservativeness of it.

I'm not gonna argue with someone who pretends the know what they are talking about and has proven they don’t. You can keep believing your dribble but it’s been proven it’s got a lot left in it from logs.

the only thing you will see the removal of the neutering they did at the very top of the rpm range so they would make a couple more horsepower with the dark horse

remember how the 2024's make the same power as a tuned 2023? Because its the same engine?

If you're expecting the gains you see on the older cars...have fun with your thumbs up your butt

Going the Whipple route is definitely the best way to go but like I said most can't afford that so we'll have to wait on custom tuning to squeeze what we can out of the cars with bolt ons.

@highvoltage

why don't you let us know how much hp we will see from the Ford performance tune and when it finally comes out, we'll see if you're right? I bet it will be no more than 10 hp or so on the dark horse

And for probably 1000.00 to 1200.00, not worth it. For 10 hp. I would get a Whipple and a tune but its out of my price range.

The tuning is gonna unlock HP just by extending redline to 8K no doubt..
The other big thing will be reducing tq limits in the trans and shift points..

so redline gains aside, even if there is no HP/TQ gains, there is 4-5 tenths in trans tuning on the table fairly easily

You think there's a half a second in the trans tune on a stock car? That's pretty optimistic. Like Hellcat levels of gain with a trans tune. Maybe one day we'll see.

This was the FRPP 19 GT tune. Of note it was said that it did more for A10 cars. Also, look at low end torque. That's what you feel on the street. It made my GT feel like sport mode in normal and track in sport mode. Very fun on the road, BUT was not specifically tuned for 93, only 91, and no aftermarket changes. It did come with larger TB and cold intake.

That whopping 10/15lb-ft below 4k? You're not there very long anyway.

What I'm saying is the stock S650 is going to be way closer to the tuned S550 from the factory, so you won't see much of an improvement. It's more aggressive of a tune than the S550's came with.

I think we'll see atleast 15-20whp gained with a stock car. That's pretty good for tune only with no aftermarket headers. That's with a real tune not a ford racing tune.

You saw 30-40whp gains from a aftermarket tune on an S550 stock. Thinking you will see 10 on the S650 is laughable at the very least.
