Bro, tow hooks are pretty much standard in a lot of cars. A threaded tow hook is not a track day special thing, lmao. Christ sake, my old family SUV had one in the front bumper

Bro, its not an suv. The front bumper tow hooks where put on the Mustangs to meet rack requirements.

If you need your car pulled out of a ditch that tow hook is the least of your problems.

@Jirees98 ..... that piece should come out but there may not be a receptacle for a tow hook on the inside bumper. It may require the installation of a receptacle. I was told by my Ford dealer that the metal plate and receptacle was only installed on Mustangs that had the PP (performance package) installed on them at order time. I know my 2024 Mustang GT Premium Convertible had the access "door" in the bumper but there was nothing on the inside frame to screw a tow hook into. Maybe yours does?

Easier way to tell is to check under the spare tire. If you car is set up with a tow hook receptical, the hook should be under there with the spare tire kit.

Yep, definitely a track car. You can tell because it has a factory tow hook receptacle.

To remove the cover, put your pry tool in the 3:00 position. Push gently and pop the cover out of place. I used a tiny screwdriver with some blue tape on it to protect the paint. It requires very little force and will come right out. There's a small retention clip located at approximately the 10:00 position. I used the same little screwdriver to release the retention clip to take it off. I have a front plate relocator installed in mine since California requires a front plate. Many people who show their cars actually drill the cover so that they can have it installed with the tow hook or plate relocator installed.

Yes, it pops out quite easily with a pry tool...

Oh, the dork front plate mod ... sorry couldn't resist, I think it looks like ass anywhere other than dead center... like the factory bracket (front plate required here too).
