Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Mustang here in South Korea. Unfortunately, FordPass is not available in my country since Ford Korea does not support the service. Would it be possible to enable it using Forscan?

Also, does anyone have an estimate on when BCM modifications will be possible through Forscan? Not being able to close the windows remotely is quite inconvenient, and even the opening function takes too long—lol. It would also be really useful if the windows could roll down halfway when unlocking the car. Given how tight parking spaces are in Korea, this would make getting in and out much easier.

This is my first time posting here, so please forgive me if I made any mistakes!

Thanks!

No clue, but my Dark Horse by choice will never utilize FordPass.

Welcome to the Forums. :like:

If Ford Korea does not support the Ford Pass service, it's a good bet the underlying infrastructure in Korea is not there. The ability to interact with that service might already be active on the car or your phone app, but since the rest of it is missing, it wouldn't work.

The following is a FORScan thread with details that might be of help:

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/th...ist-database-spreadsheet-by-livinitup.159997/

As to when the Powertrain Control Module or Body Control Modules become unlocked, I've not heard of anything.

Edit,

The following link-provides Ford Pass-like information to those in the US.

https://www.ford.com/support/

I'd be curious if Ford Korea has a similar site, or, if those in Asia can log in and list their car.

The site will display support materials, maintenance history, recall information, etc.

My convertible will stay in storage for another couple of weeks, but when I thaw it out I plan to pull fuse #8 from what I learned in this forum. My understanding is that should kill power to the modem.

Welcome to the forums. How do South Koreans view the Mustang? Do they love it and take pictures? I am assuming its rare over there.

That's the right fuse.

Many Koreans' dream cars are Mustang. Mustang has been a dream car since I was young.

When I go downtown driving Mustang, many people look at me, and they were talking about it

I think it's harder to find Mustang than 718Boxter in Korea, I met three Boxters today, but only one Mustang with me.

I prefer to not share my telematic data. No app, no OTA updates.
Yet the phone you keep in your pocket shares 1000x as much with Google or Apple. 😆

I have never touched the app, but I get updates. Must be another setting.
You have a modem in your vehicle that connects to the servers.
