So, I got my 2024 GT, OBD Link EX, my AsBuilt from the Ford Service Website, and FORScan and the associated drivers installed. I've done this sort of thing with BMWs and Audis in the past. From what I've seen. It looks a lot more straight forward than Audi but similar to BMW. I'm kinda just looking for a list of cool things people are doing and/or quality of life changes to get my feet wet with. I specifically want to turn off auto stop start, the block from using the head unit while the car is in motion, and the seat belt chimes. I have no doubt the chimes will be very easy. Beyond that though, anything that others have found success with that they want to share or tips, tricks, cool changes, ect. I would appreciate any information before I dive into this on my brand new car.

I’m with you. On the F150gen14 forum the FORSCAN spreadsheet has a TAB with common changes. Hoping you’ll get some informative replies vs ā€˜ use search ā€˜ replies.

Yeah, I mean from what I saw in the recommended was like turn signals and walk away lock. I mean I may be looking at it wrong, but if that's extent of the cool changes.. Oof.. I know that's not true though. Also, I'm very happy to use search.. I have been constantly for days.. Its a lot to parse through and a lot of people getting sidetracked for 10, 15, 20 pages.. If I missed something, provide the link.. Id be more than happy to read about it where its at

Walk away lock is kind of hit or miss I think. It seems to work for some, but not for others. I was going to try it, but Forscan wouldn't show all of the required addresses when connected to my car.

A few others that might not be listed but have been discussed on the forum:
Welcome and approach lighting (if not already equipped)
Continuous gear display (Auto's)
Amber driving lights (Not for the faint of heart!)

So I was poking around in the IPC Module easy settings.. I found an option for Auto Stop Start.. I disabled it.. That seemed to get rid of the feature in normal mode.. If anyone can verify the safety of that, id appreciate it.. Seems ok, but I don't know for a fact.. Also, I turned off both Chimes - Driver Belt Minder and Chimes - Passenger Belt Minder but it didn't work.. Anyone have any insight on how I can get it turned off?
There is a procedure outlined in the owners manual to switch the belt minders on/off if the Forscan settings aren't working for you.

I cannot get this to work.. I've tried 10 or more times.. Absolutely infuriating
There is some options in Forscan to turn these off. You can change all fields to 0 and the car thinks there are no seats installed, others have done this and they say it works. Search Forscan threads you'll find it. The one in the manual might not do what your looking for.

To be able to use certain touchscreen features while driving, you will need a video-in-motion bypass harness. AFAIK, that is hard coded in there and cannot be changed with FORScan. Naviks makes one for $200, but it does require partially taking apart the dash to access the APIM to install it.
