I take classes on a local University campus to finally finish my degree at 44 years old. The other day I pull in to one of the parking lots and this dude is just staring at me. I figure he's an environmentalist or something and is mad at me driving a V8. I park and get out the car and he yells "That is pure S-Tier my dude." Admittedly, I had no idea what that meant so I waved and said thanks. After conferring with my teenage children, this is apparently a good thing.

I get compliments all the time on the campus from students there. Sometimes they get up next to me on their scooters and try to race (kidding around of course.) Little kids in my neighborhood always clear the road and want me to rev it at them like a trucker horn or something.

I think the S650 is gonna be alright. Wish Ford could get the cost down on it but the styling seems to be catching on. :)

I guess playing video games has paid off (or caused irrevocable harm) because I am familiar with s-tier and I'm 41 with no kids

I've seen S-tier in reference to type of exercises listed in YouTube videos, with S-tier being the best exercise for a certain muscle and then A through D or E tiers.

They were causing irrevocable harm for me so I stopped anything more complicated than Mario Bros about 10 years ago. I never heard S-Tier but I'm sure I would have had I kept at it.

If it were described correctly to me, it seems to be a term used for the "best" in any category. I think it started with video games though. Now its slang. I guess the real "S-Tier" would be the GTR. I still appreciate the compliment though!

S-Tier...makes me think of World of Warcraft. Where trinkets you can get as equipped gear are ranked: S, A, B, C, D, etc. in Tiers from best to worst.

This is what I understand it to mean. I'm old, but I learned it from young guys doing reviews on YouTube. I had no idea it had anything to do with video games, though. :)

I was on the Yamaha forum one time and these young guys were talking about their times on the Nordschliefe. I was amazed, then realised it was on a SIM.
There's no road rash or broken bones on SIMs.

Exactly. At best that's gaming, but realistically, that's just bench racing.
S-Tier & S Tier are good and synonymous.
Stier is not good
and Stierscheisse is definitely bad.

I often get adults whose actions indicate they like what they see, but the young kids in the neighborhood will stop whatever they are doing to watch me drive by. Especially when the top is down! It's like déjà vu, all over again, when I would see a nice car drive by as a kid! It sometimes gives me the tingles watching them! Glenn
