I added the @Steeda K-member brace on my 2025 GT with PP. It took some light mods to the undertray to make it fit. I also had to drill holes in the stakes to allow the use of washers to shim the brace away from the Trans cooler. I know their photo shows the under tray covering the K-member brace at the rear but that did not seem possible with bolt head and 2 shims pushing everything out about 3/4". as you can see in the photo the strakes wrap around the side with 2 screws holding it down and 2 bolt poking through. There is not even room for the 1/8" member bracket under the strakes.

I taped the piece I cut off back on the tray so you could see what I took off. sorry for the crappy after install pics. I forgot to take them when I had it on the ramps.

My first impression is that it significantly increases steering response and feedback. I was surprised at how much difference it made. Before the brace, there was a bit of vagueness to the steering, a feeling of uncertainty as to how the front wheels would respond to inputs. It does not improve the understeer that the mustang has. If anything it makes it more noticeable but at the same time It gave me more confidence to throw it into a tight corner.

My last sporty car was a Mazdaspeed3 and I had it set up to where you could yank the wheel and bounce the passenger's head off the glass. This mod made the mustang's steering respond more like that. I have the stop the hop kit for the rear but am waiting for warmer weather to install that so I can use my outdoor lift. I expect that mod will help stiffen up the rear and substantially improve the understeer it has now.

I am very happy with this mod. Just know if you want to retain the strakes and under tray with this you will need to make a few holes and cuts.

Any chance you have real world measured weights for each k-member? Nice work!

No. I did not remove the thing people refer to as the factory K- member. The steeda feels like it weights 5-10 lbs.

So the factory K member isn't the same thing as the Steeda part? Assumed it would be very similar. Still waiting on my non pp 25 gt but I find this interesting. Already have Steeda K member, strut tower brace, jacking rails, and stop the hop kit waiting in garage.

This is Steeda's g-trac 4 point k-member brace, not their replacement k-member. I installed it on my Dark Horse but didn't have to modify the under tray. Maybe because mine is manual? hmm...

You must have been able to Install the brace under the under tray to avoid modifying it. That's how the photo on Steeda's sales page showed it on the manual car they used a reference.

In the YouTube video Steeda made as installation instructions they do not have an under tray or strakes to deal with. I thought that was interesting.

I forgot to mention that my brace deformed/pushed my under tray in about .5" at the front even with the provided aluminum spacers. Maybe the under tray is slightly different for 2025.

You must have at least had a bulge where the bolt head protrudes on yours if the under tray covers the brace at the rear. Was that an issue for the strakes?

I don’t have photos of mine installed, but I too had to make similar changes to the underbody stray and strakes.

Yes, it is indeed a tiny bit bulgy but all the holes still lined up. No issues with the strakes.

Can you clarify the differences in K members between yours and the factory pp one. Thanks

I will have to get some info from our tech team - what differences are you looking for?

OP describes them as completely different parts. I assumed it was more like your strut tower brace. Just a product improved part essentially accomplishing the same thing.

I have this on my DH with Kooks headers and everything fits good. I like it! I’ll be at the track in March for a true test.

The K Member is the part of the car that holds the engine, steering, and some of the suspension components. The steeda k member is listed on their site as part number 555-5061 and replaces the entire factory k member. The OP installed a k member BRACE, steeda p/n 555-5536.

The GTPP (and I think all of the s650s for that matter from what I've read) have an additional k member BRACE further forward on the factory k member. That factory brace and the aftermarket steeda/BMR braces do not brace the k member in the same spot, so any aftermarket brace you buy will be an upgrade as it's bracing the rear legs of the k member which has no bracing from the factory regardless of trim or options.
