I feel the same. I literally don't have any drag strips near me, only twisty roads. Not gonna race stop light to stop light. And bought a manual because it's more fun even if it's slower. I feel like if you are that worked up about tenths and 1/4s you wouldn't buy this car. You'd buy a $5k shell that you can throw power at to get the fastest straight line speed you can. Or just buy an EVI can understand the disappointment from ya'll coming from a 6th gen or some other HP ride.
My last stang was 35 years ago, a 1988 GT with stock 225hp, the last 14 years been driving a POS dodge avenger with 175hp,
So this thing is going to be nothing but a beast to me...IF... it ever gets built
Seriously though, not sure how much the "break in" is going to add, these tests are being run on newborns, time will tell
Would manual mode help with the short shifting? The car is short shifting. Tell Esp with the trap speed. These things need a proper break in and they seem to unlock.
The 2.0 60 ft is contributing as well. Those MT's once worn in will get better. A 1.8 60ft would translate likely to 11.8 at 119/120.
Sadly, Ford did see fit that they gained 100lbs or more over the S550. This isn't helping.
It's not short shifting... I had an A10 19 PP1 car and the time between gear changes is so short I can understand why it sounds like it is though... but the car is kept in the top 2000rpm power band all the time ... it's really cool how the A10 works ...Would manual mode help with the short shifting?
Understood. I was asking based upon, I thought I heard him say it was short shifting. If it’s short shifting and you have the ability to override it why not give it a shot and see if the theory proves true? It's not short shifting... Btw: the cam in the vid is kinda nice. Each time I see the mustang and hear that cam…. And then …. Oh well. It's not short shifting...
