That same person said SPE is using a standalone (which they denied)
yeah but now they got invited to the tuning party it seems why else would he be pulling the pcm

Ya that’s what I’m thinking too. I am curious as to why their kit says no tuning necessary. That would imply that it’s a bolt on, but I’m curious how that’s possible without a standalone. I don’t even think a standalone would work on these cars because it’s so software integrated.

So I heard they flashed a whipple tune to the car with a whipple tomahawk. Buy the whipple kit for that car, use the flasher/tune on the car and install their own turbo kit. Makes sense. Really just need to get all the tq management raised up and all the airload scales raised above the stock 1.1 limits. This would work for just about any boosted kit, but you'd be buying a $10k tune to get it... But cool. No magic crack though.

A 10k tune and about another 6-7k in parts, that’s what i call value

You could resell the whipple kit. the buyer could call whipple and tell them you bought it used and need the tuner. I think if you have the valid serial for the blower, they will see it to you separate.
