I don't buy that the car only made 350hp in the same configuration that it ran 127mph

That's 116mph trap speed in a 3200lb car

Also why does the 350hp pull die off so fast after 6,250rpm instead of pulling like the other S650 cars did? These things were making 430-440 stock when they first came out!

Would the Boss show any improvements over a gen 4?

I doubt it, especially with the torque loss the Boss is known for.

One would think Ford would have designed the GT350 intake off it instead of designing a new intake that gained low end torque and still carried power out to 7800.

Looks like people are getting hung up on peak HP instead of Average power, The Gen4 intake is carrying power out to 7800.

The dyno sheets PBD and 5 Star posted shows 7800 is going to be a sweet spot for shifting these Gen4's.

I found my 2018 Gen3 was quicker shifting where the power was down 25hp after peak, That car made 470rwhp at 7100 so we set the shift points at 7600 after seeing it slower shifting higher, That car was nearly a tenth slower shifting at 7800. It was a PP1 A10 it ran a best or 11.6 @122.5 full weight with the heavy PP1 front wheels and a heavy 18x10 replica wheel and DR on a E85 tune.

Other guys were running 11.2's with lighter wheels and E85 tunes back then,

My S650 has ran 11.3's @124mph with a little weight loss and E40, I expect it'll run an easy 11.00 when tuned.

Where at? the PBD sheet they posted with Steeda stopped the run at like 71-7200

Looks like PBD ran it out to 7700.

5 Star to 7900.

Both are Manual's.

Falls right off at 7400

10r80 gears are so close you're probably not gaining anything shifting much past that

The have a nice flat curve up top though

Do you have a thread where you logged your journey to 11.3s anywhere on the site? I would be interested in reading it if you do.

I posted over in the drag racing section,

Pretty basic setup,

Pulled Passenger Seat - 45lbs
Rear Seat - 30lbs
Optional Spare/Jack - 40lbs

FeeBay 17x9.5 rear wheel/Hoosier 275/40-17 - 17.5lbs

I have the 3.15 gear hence the short tire.

I'm using a pair of OE 18x5 spare wheels with a Kumho 135/80-18 as a front runner. -40lbs from stock the 18x8.5 Conti's.

Swapping to those 18x5's fronts dropped 3-tenth's over stock Conti's..

That's a pretty amazing difference all by itself.

Thanks for responding. I can't wait to see what tuning does for you.

Found your posts (there are not very many posts in the Drag Racing section of this forum). I see you have headers already, too, so tuning is going to make more of a difference.
