I think it will help to get some references on the deals some people get, new or used.

What was your OTD cost on a 24 up GT, and what options yours has?

I have been chasing 40K OTD, on a base GT. Cant find it yet. When does 2026 model hit the lots?
That could change prices a little bit.

My MSRP was 48K, A plan got it to 43.4K… no idea on OTD… there’s always a few grand in taxes etc.. 40k OTD would be like 35k or so for the car, never gonna happen new.

My friends have a saying “you gonna buy the car or you not gonna buy the car fxxxxt … he not gonna buy the car”

OTD is meaningless because no two people will pay the same OTD. It is dependent on where you live. Everyone’s state, local taxes, doc fees, licensing, title, plates will all be different.

Thanks for sharing guys. Great cars... Looks like they are selling a lot of dark horses.

@Spd, $8600 off a 301A 6-spd sounds like a pretty awesome deal!

So, I just recently finished shopping, no new GTs to be had d/t the recall so I went used.

The OTD comparison is a good idea, but as noted above, our taxes and fees vary by state. For example, here in NC our sales tax on cars is only 3% and it's only about $150 for title & tags.

The thing that really chapped my cheeks is some of these dealers and their underhanded business practices. Now, they will all argue that "everyone does it" when it comes to doc fees, but one could also argue that "no they don't" as there are dealers that don't charge doc fees. And why do some charge $350 and others charge $1200? Are the docs different? No. Noooooo. It's all just a scam. We're paying for their back office work, and if anyone thinks that it really costs them $700 (the going rate around here) to process the paperwork, well, then, I've got a bridge in Manhattan that I'll sell you that you can use on your way to some beachfront property in Florida that I can also sell you.

So, then I'm buying this Mach 1 in IL last week, and when I asked for the buyer's order, they tack on another $1200 for paint protection and another $800 for some stupid theft tracking system, neither of which I want not am willing to pay for. So, on top of the full retail price, and doc fees, they throw another $2K on that for b.s. Because it's all b.s. That paint protection system is a $15/hour prep guy spraying $5 worth of "ceramic" on your car and wiping it off. There's no prep, there's no polishing, there's nothing. It's basically promising you that the bird poop won't stick, and if it does, file a claim. And don't worry, we'll take care of the claim for you.

Until it happens. Then it's "oh, you have to file a claim with the company, here's their address". And you get nowhere.

And who needs a vehicle tracker for theft? Aside from the OE nav/tracking already in there, throw in a $20 airtag if you're that paranoid. Geez.

Why am I so torqued? Because I was in the car sales biz for a while. I learned all this, I saw all of this first-hand. I have no issue with a store making money, they have to make a profit to stay in business, that's fine. It's stealing, lying and manipulating people that I have issue with.

I ended up buying a slightly used DH (more on that once it shows up) in OH with a very straight-forward store who didn't play games, didn't add in stuff later, and so far have been great to work with. I'm having the car shipped, I should see it soon.

Anyway, my sympathies and condolences to all of you boys and girls trying to buy a car. Some of these dealers (Granger comes to mind) have a great reputation and are easy to deal with. Koons, I believe, offers great pricing but they can also throw more crap on there, so you need to be careful. My local dealers are all quite greedy, usually, but if you're careful and lucky, sometimes you can get a good deal, as I did on my S550 GT that I bought during Covid. I'm not sure how the next month will play out, as there's a lot of pent-up demand for GTs but also a lot of inventory since they couldn't sell them.

S650 GT PP I think it's what you call the 401 spec. $NZ93,000 = $US53,700.
That's why they're an absolute bargain down here. The only price competitor is the Nissan Z car.
But that's just fugly.

In Canada. I scored a brand new 2024 base GT auto with PP but no active exhaust for 51,000 CAD OTD before tax. This would be around $36,500 USD. Bought it in May this year. They were probably looking to get rid of it.
